Well, I've gone through and modelled just about every FF7 character that has a line or two, and even some who dont. I've been making a RPG engine for about 8 months, not DBP; sorry guys ^-^. I did high and low poly models of most of them. If you want any for any purpose ask me and I'll post some links for ya. --Mitch

WindTech, my team is currently looking for a model, and you are EXACTLY what we are looking for! I saw that you posted in our team request page, and we are DIEING for a modeler like you! PLEASE consider our request! (I know I sound desperate here, but this is the kind of person that we have been wanting for months!)

Please consider! This project has everything BUT a 3D modeler, we are serious, and we WILL be finishing. We have the coders, the 2D skill, the planning, everything we need to get this project done EXCEPT for a modeler. Please! Email me, or message me if you are interested!

Right, here is the plan ED workers. We will kidnap this guy and promise to feed him if he works on our project. (Jk).

I am the Co-Leader of the Eternal Destiny project (The biggest (to my knowledge) project in dbpro at the moment. Thnx to John who founded the game and Halbros.) And we would very appreciate your skills if you would work with us.

Heh, I just got finished fooling around with CharacterFX...I still like Lightwave more but as I unfortunately learned, DBPro HATES lightwave
So heres attempt #1 at animating somethin from FF7:

DBP works nicely with Lightwave
the DirectX exporter is more stable than most of the others (cept Softimage & trueSpace 5+) ... you just need to make sure you have the Dx 8.1 exporter and DBP will work well with the animations exported

-(classic stupid DB quote)

Ask the forum member who's name's DeadGlory(probably will you find him easily on RGT),he's got that plugin.

Or against all odds, make a search on the net...

2min later:Here I think I just found it....I think, because the language on the website is Japanese and although I got KK,I have no time to translate it.

yeah i'd ask DG as he primarily uses Lightwave7 ... i only use it as a passing interest now, i'll dig out the link i have but no doubt DG has one which works flawlessly as he's been using it since the DB days

btw the guy with the machine gun for an arm is a bloody good model, not too keen on the others ... but the machine gun guy looks pretty spot on. i'd be wondering about those polycounts though - they look pretty high.

I he said low and high for each model, so maybe that was the high one you saw Raven. They are really nice.

the one i'm on about is the one that he shows in LW itself ... looks around 9-1000 polygons to me, which is pretty high for the look of it shaded - but still not bad, i've seen far worse before

Nice count, Raven was right, he does look high.
That's what I thought too, but I was easily deceived.

Yeah, I bet you could knock off even more poly's if ya wanted to.
Maybe not on these models necessarily, but on your future models.

Because a good texture can make the model look twice the poly's if you do a good job.

Wow Great Models. I showed em to my brother, who is the family Final Fantasy Freak and he agrees that they are the best FF7 models he's seen yet. Where can I download em, my bro would love to have em.

hehehe, glad to see I inspired someone
anyway...i'll be posting the model Meshes (not coloring cuz you people who use 3dsMAX dont like vertex shading, if u want the colored versions ask me for the LW models on AIM or email or something)
Btw...I'm kind of in the process of animating these guys and turning them into mesh-deform creations so expect to see things like Cloud's limit breaks comin up...yes including omnislash.

Nice Gunblade. It almost fooled everyone in my house that it was real! If only gunblades were real though, I'd get one with an automatic shotgun on it instead of a rifle like Squall has in FF8.
