Very nice! Though it's wip, the texture on the pitch fork looks a little blank

some people like things with shaders and some like it without. but shaderless it runs more smoothly.

Looks good. I would recommend some un-even ground for the forest though, and the texture doesn't seem very seamless.

Thank you for the comments, @airslide, yes the texture is an old one that will be replaced, as for the uneven ground that will be implemented, when i can get it working well.

Sorry, don't you mean Siith Ifiricca ?

This look's good IWTG, although you've spelt your name wrong in the title. Are those zombies going to be the creatures? I would love to see 20 of those come crawling at me from a forest!

Yes I noticed the name problem but I haven't bothered to get a mod to change it.
I am not sure about the creature placement yet, there are sure to be some strange things in the forest, maybe some undead wolves. Also some
weird creatures.

Another thing about the forest is that you need to make it late at night. Unless you want to wreck your framerate by making an entire forest in FPSC. Use some mist and some no-go-zones to make sure the player only stays where you want them to and only sees as far as you want them to see.

Yes it will be at night, each tree is only about 200 polygons, I can have tons of them in a level and it doesn't lag, there will be trees down to prevent the player from going somewhere they shouldn't.

The levels will be as follows:
1 The crash site/forest.
2 The village.
3 The mansion/castle.
4 Still in the works/surprise
Though the game is set in current day, the village and and mansion have little modern technology. So firearms will be rare.

Yup 4 levels. the 4th level will be a more modern day facility of some kind, but still rundown.

I followed this thread since the very beginning.

I must say, very nice idea!

And the forest is coming out well.

However, in my personal opinion. I think it would look much better
if you apply several "layers" of leaves.(models ofcourse)
Since now the sky is to open to see.

Maybe if you modeled another layer with a somewhat thicker leaves texture.
Then the forest would look much better.
But thats just my opinion.

Cheers,
And good luck in the contest!

Either what CC said, or remodel the trees to have much thicker leaves. Like maybe... NOT making the leaves section of the model transparent.

Just a thought.

I do like the story you're working on. I want to see where you're going with this.

Ok there will be taller trees and shorter ones to simulate natural foliage. but i might also do what you said.

that is sweet. If I wanted you to do some characters for my game how much would you charge (they would not be zombies, more like the monster in the forest)?

It depends on the complexity, and also on the time it takes me to make it. But as an estimate probably $20+ depending on the beast.
