Did you update to the latest IDE version?

It prompts me first, but maybe that's the latest update.

Cheers,

I did some tests on both my machines but I can't reproduce the bug. Whether I close a file or the project I receive a confirmation message.

I suggest the latest update as Guy posted first a version 1.0.7.1 instead of the 1.0.8.1 he finally posted at the beginning of this week. Perhaps JimB stayed with a 1.7.0.1 or older version?

After a quick check I found out that the version I was using to performe the tests (on my laptop) is a 1.0.7.1. With this one, no problem of "auto-save".
I update to 1.0.8.1 but I'm still not able to reproduce the "auto-save bug".
