A friend of mine had posted this on Little Bright Dots last week, so I already knew it. Mine rotates clockwise and I can't turn it around.

Dazzag's one creeped me out, though.

I saw her going anti, then closed the window, opened it again, and she was going clockwise.
The concept of how you switch is simple. Becasue it is purely black, and has no shading what so ever, when you see her turning, you can't easily distinguish whether her face is in front/behind or leg is in front/behind, and so your perception of it changes.

Yeah, I didn't look around enough to see those faces. I can see them. But I have no idea what Benjamin's on

Hmm? I can only see it clockwise and my scores are: left 55%, right 45%.

OK, tried a bit harder this time - and for some brief moments she turned anti-clockwise, but only when I looked hard at the shadow on the ground (which took some effort ).

The two face switch over is probably based on your vision. Both eyes are different one is short-sighteder than the other in most cases so there will be a switchover point where the brain chooses the eye with the best focus?

On the small ones I could see the switch over only about 4 feet away!

I can not, for the life of me, see her going counter-clockwise. My neurologist said I'm ambidextrous (I write, eat, and shoot a rifle left-handed, everything else right-handed). Interesting, but now I have a migraine

I expected that, all these tests for me are taken with a pinch of salt though, since I've done the spinning test and the multi-choice test and they have produced different results :p.

Yes, you are an absolute freak of nature. Get out of our forums

Just kidding. Yeah, my sister claims she's ambidextrous but I think it's more of something she wants to be. She IS more ambidextrous than me but alot of it is because she practices using her left hand more often. Me, no. I just use my right hand cause its easy Aside from attempting to bowl left handed once in awhile (for the added challenge) everything I do is right handed.

If you see her going clockwise at first then close your right eye and she will change direction. If you see her going counter-clockwise then close your left and she should change directions.
It takes a second for this to wrok but it does. This is because the left side of you brain controls the right side of your body. and vise versa. This is thanks to the corpus collosum that sends the messages back and forth between each side.

anti-clockwise, oh no I'm a weirdo hahaha..but wait I'm a weirdo yay!!

However, I'm rarely ever logical, what the heck is going on here?

Your percentage score for the right brain is 65%.
Your percentage score for the left brain is 35%.
You are more right-brained than left-brained. The right side of your brain controls the left side of your body. In addition to being known as right-brained, you are also known as a creative thinker who uses feeling and intuition to gather information. You retain this information through the use of images and patterns. You are able to visualize the "whole" picture first, and then work backwards to put the pieces together to create the "whole" picture. Your thought process can appear quite illogical and meandering. The problem-solving techniques that you use involve free association, which is often very innovative and creative. The routes taken to arrive at your conclusions are completely opposite to what a left-brained person would be accustomed. You probably find it easy to express yourself using art, dance, or music. Some occupations usually held by a right-brained person are forest ranger, athlete, beautician, actor/actress, craftsman, and artist.

She changes for me every thirty seconds or less. I figured this would happen, since I tend to be either very factual and realistic or go the way of fantasy and imagination. I also use my right hand for writing, but left hand for pretty much everything else.

Not that this test is completely accurate, but it's cool nonetheless.

You're the chosen one!

It's written in the scriptures of TGC. Apollo 15:2 and 15:3 "There will come a time when blue wind descends unto the fields of logic with both sides of mind under complete balance. A challenge of mind will reveal the chosen one who will produce the art which blinds the many"

You're blue wind, and the "art" part has to be a game so good it makes people go !

Generally for me it appears to rotate clockwise, but if you look closely at the shadow it doesn't make sense for her to be making a complete circle around. If I try to focus on rotating it counter-clockwise however, I can get it to go that way.

first time she was going anti and i couldn't see any other way...

then i read some posts.. went back.. and i can't see any other way than clockwise now

i am half suspecting that the graphic changed while i was gone

[edit] after a minute of practice i can switch it at will... i just focus on the legs and TELL my mind it is working one way... then after a bit my mind agrees and i can look at the rest and it appears to be doing the right thing.... weird.

[edit2] a easy way to "cheat" is to scroll down the page so you can only see from about the knees down... then it is easy to switch back and forth... then when you scroll up it should be whatever you think it is currently :p

Just think how useful this will be for game designers! All we have to do now, is show each frame of any game in inversed colours, then show it in black and white! All games will be able to be black and white!
