All I want to hear is the realeas date of X 10 I don't want to have to wait until the next newsletter and I definetly don't want to have to wait another six months after that like the last time.

Thay say that they now atr making the final touches of the engine.
And they would do a lot of more money if they sell before christmas, i think.
I think it will come in the end of november or beginning of december.

But 6 months that is way to long I think for some bug fixes.

I don't think so, it's X10 we're talking about here, a large scale project, not a game of pong.

They also added: Dark AI, lots of water tweaks, ALLIES! safe zone markers, and a whole host of other stuff. I actually want X10 to take LONGER so more stuff might be added in, performance tweaked and bugs fixed.

Dark AI makes the characters WAY more intelligent than FPSC x9.

Likw mastercheif 193 simplified: it makes AI characters WAY more intelligent!

If I recall correctly, it especially had something to do with the pathfinding and overall recognising of the enviroment of the game. The old FPSC used these invisible "beams" to move around in the world, and often the results were more hilarious than originally planned.

Yeah, its got melee so hold your horses.

WHAT! LONGER? No way, I want some kinda X10 thingy to play with while we wait for more.

Yeah but if they tell you ahead of time, then everyone will want to pre-order.
I don't think that's in their plan, but I don't know anything so keep wishing.

I'm really going to enjoy Dark A.I. the most because of the pathfinding, and the allies and enemies. With pathfinding, we can have characters scout a whole area without using waypoints, characters following you without moving into walls and entities and a lot more things. I believe what Rick said one time is that you can have duck zone markers that can be placed behind objects for enemies and allies to hide behind.

Yeah allies, neutrals (who attack anyone including other neutrals I think) and much improved enemies who can apparently follow you through a level if need be without glitching up. Also there are cover zones and a hole bunch of other things that are much better than in the X9 version,

Think of placing those sandbag entities throughout the whole game and putting duck zone markers behind them with 49 soilders on your side, and 50 on the other side... awesome

@Slayer
Isn't a neutral someone who is passive and doesn't attack anybody?

No I think he attacks anyone and then runs away if hurt, but in X10 you can specify character behaviors without any scripting in the character config panel. Like what they do when hurt, etc.

You have to wait for an announcement from TGC for any release date. No one else will know. There is no point in guessing.

The next Newsletter will be out soon and it may contain more information. It may not, so you will have to wait for the one after that or an official announcement.

Once X10 is out users will be waiting for the next version its a never ending waiting game I am afraid. Either that or use whats currently available at any given time.
