Disney usually do good animated movies, like Cars was fun. But Meet the Robinsons is sooooo utterly, incredibly bad. It might work for little kids but come on, so does their other material.

Well the point of Disney is to make movies for kids. And unless you're under the age of 12, I wouldn't go complaining about a kid movie being bad. IMO

Meet the Robinsons was created by the Disney 3d Studio(along with chicken little).

Cars was created entirely by Pixar, much better studio with much better films and reputation.
Pixar have always had free reign over what they do (to an extent) but they are still owned and funded by Disney. The next Toy Story is made by the disney studio's, not pixar so don't expect anything brilliant.

I for one am a huge Pixar fan.

Ah, I've never seen Chicken little. But I loved Lion King (the only movie I've ever seen that's actually better in Swedish) and most of Disney's older 2D stuff is pretty good. Even when I was a kid I didn't like crappy movies like this.

I'm a Pixar fan too

I disagree, they got there entire 2d team to create a full 3d animated movie in a short time. All of their 2D stuff was pretty much brilliant(ly animated to say the least), i just think they might have their priorties wrong at the moment.

The problem with Meet the Robinsons isn't the animation (ok so facial impressions and speech isn't brilliant) but character design, story etc is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo horrible.

A lot of older people can appreciate the fun and quality of a Pixar movie. Some don't watch because they consider themselves too old and that's a sad attitude.

Pixar spend a ton of time on story, they seem to put much more effort into the story than the animation.

Pixar are pretty consistent with both. But Disney forgot how to tell a decent story decades ago.

Both Cars and Ratatouile have better animations then Meet the Robinsons. And, of course, they are far more fun to watch.

Its probably aimed at kids, thats why you may not have liked it.

If you have seen Michael Clayton (A film actually aimed at adults) Then you will realize that is in fact the worst film ever made.

No but Plan 9 from Out of Space is...

Hahahahaha that's such an awful movie it's funny, duude you should totally watch it, you'll get some great kicks out of it...

Anyway, not seen Meet the Robinsons, I was kind of put off by it...I think Disney should stay away from 3D Animated comedies - they bought out Pixar - why not use them to create something decent? Or did they do the daft thing and eliminate the staff?

Pixar and Dreamworks kickarse for these things...Though I must admit the last two Pixer movies weren't their best.

That looked more funny when it's cut out of the rest.

The only good stuff in the movie is the frog mafia, yeah it's as weird as it sounds Sadly they appear in like 30-60 seconds total

Flushed Away was funny, even if it was aimed for kids. I like Pirates of the Carribean more than any other disney movie I can think of right now. Too bad I never was able to see the third one.

I would say the worst movie ever was Stan Lee's Harpies (I have seen better acting in kindergarten plays and better special effects in DOS)

I assume the budget for the movie was a box of cracker jax and ball of twine.

I liked the 2nd Pirates because it made me laugh so much. You got to love Sparrow and the indians

On the topic of crappy movies I just have to mention Epic Movie. All the movie parodies (like Scary Movie) usually are kinda fun to watch, some are worse then others. But Epic Movie is pretty much a bucket of crap with a few good bits sprinkled on top

Proper Disney is awesome. I think they should just stick with what they do best, whip out their copy of The Brothers Grimm or some late-19th-century fairy tales and give it some old-school hand-drawn Disney action.

Hell yeah! Or some Angela Carter style Fairy tales that are cruel and evil and would give children nightmares...Or modernised Fairy Tales, "Cinderella in da hood" or "Aerial Goes to Hollywood" or "Snow White and the 7 Lawsuits"

Ahem

As a long standing watcher of 'old' disney movies, that pisses me off. Their 3d is terrible but I refuse to let you piss on a long history of great classics with memorable songs, I have more than one old disney song on my mp3 that I chill to. Rant..grumble...kicks chair.

Oh god... that movie was so bad! If I remember correctly, the tv show Mystery Science Theater 3000 (awesome show) did an episode on that one. And with the plot being aliens who use zombies to take over earth, who can blame them for making fun of it?

Pixar is great, Disney is okay, and who ever made Meet the Robinson's sucked hard.

I'm saddened I can actually comment on this.

It was horribly cliche, and the plot was both really, really gay and just plain predictable/stupid, but it had a few good cheap laughs. I did lol at the Tom Selleck joke. Just another hour and a half spent not watching the kids.

I find almost everything made by Disney in the last year simply awful. Their old stuff was great, especially The Black Cauldron, but i may just think that because I'm a fan of the books and Al Lowe (creator of Leisure Suit Larry) made the game.

By the way, If anyone else liked the Disney movie/game The Black Cauldron, Al Lowe released it for free on his website. http://www.allowe.com/More/download.htm

True Disney films were all about princesses, or similar heroines, and the gallant hero's attempts to rescue (or bed) them.

Aladdin, Beauty And The Beast, Sleeping Beauty...

Mulan's pretty cool too though. Plus that song's so catchy...

*sings*[Be a man] we must be swift as the pouring rain [Be a man] with all the strength of a great typhoon...*sings*

OK wailing the "I'll make a man out of you" ending wasn't a good idea.

I'm just gonna go shut that stupid dog up. For some reason as soon as I tried to sing, he started barking. Until I went for that high note. Now he's whimpering.

Yeah last decent Disney movie was probably Emperor's New Groove, but only because I like some of the comedy they added into it.

Best Disney movie was Aladdin. Return of Jafar was pretty lame as Robin Williams wasn't the voice of the Genie and the animation was horrible. Aladdin and the King of Thieves was pretty good to end the series with I suppose. Robin Williams came back and the animation was greatly improved.

Beauty and the Beast was really good. I wish they'd make another 'realistic' movie like that. No dorky animation style that has recently been done to death. No CG mixed with hand drawn stuff. It just looks bad, they never get the cel shading (or whatever they do) to look right and it always sticks out like a sore thumb.

Umm, I dunno, possibly. It's been awhile since I've seen it. Though I don't know where they would have used CGI in it off hand either.

Edit: Oh yes. Now I remember. At least one area they used it was in the Ballroom where Belle and Beast were dancing. Yeah, I'll have to watch it again to see if I like that effect or not, but I remember it as looking odd. Same as in Aladdin, there's some CG with the Cave of Wonders.

Titan AE is a great movie mixing CG and handdrawn art. The only things handdrawn was the caracters though. Still a good movie, it was about end of the human race and all that fun stuff.

Yeah, Titan AE is probably the best animated movie I've seen. Love the humor, the visuals and the music To bad this sort of movie doesn't do well, it's made for an older audience (read teenagers) but they don't want to watch animations.

Beauty and the Beast used CGI quite well in the ballroom I thought. Sword in the stone was rather good and I loved mulan, watching the lion king now..weekends are my disney movie marathons..ice cream and old classics.

Look for the bear neccessities the simple bear neccessities, forget about your worries and your strife. I mean the bear neccessities its how a bear can rest at ease with just the bear neccessities of life. Lion King is my favorite Disney animated movie, it's also their first original story I don't like the English dialog, far too modern. The Swedish dialog matches the royalty theme better. Great music (although I prefer the Elton John originals), great animations and a great story (for a family movie).
