Im currently working on a horror game set in almost modern times.
Im not a massive fan of horrot games, But i just wanted to see how good i was at lighting, And i know horror games are almost completely dependant on well placed lighting to set the mood.
Here are a few shots (Btw it will be completely created with FPSC media and the medi off FPSfree.com)

The light in the backround goes off when you walk past the desk, As if by a ghostly presence! (Or the light blew, lol)

Lights go on, Lights go off, Light go on, lights go...*continue's playing with lights*

The light on the left and in the back flickers, When i play the level it gives me the creeps a little ^_^'

Any suggestions (I think it looks too dark in the Screenshots, but in game its just right...)

I think that it looks like something from Resident evil. But there are few exceptions. It looks like it is a office? If it is the couches are a tad random.

The lighting isn't that good...I would add more of them, and turn the ambiance all the way down.

Add more lights, decrease the ambience to 1 and add some more objects around the lights. Then it'll be cool

I think those screens are too dark. Darkness is good, but in careful places. You've got the right idea, I think, but you need to have selective lighting and dark, which to a certain extent you have. It's just, there's too much dark. Having, for example, a large room like a ballroom in total darkness would be fairly worrying. But if you have it in darkness except for one small circle of light in the middle, highlighting the fact that there's the body of a man clutching something in his fear-clenched fingers right in the centre of this "spotlight"... well, that pushes more buttons. It gives it a sense of drama as well as fear, which could well add to the horror. Just tweak a few lights and it'll be creepy as hell!

I'm not actually a Kiwi, I just randomly thought it up one day.

turn down the ambience and add better lighting and this would be a ok. just one question: why would you make a horror game if you dont really like horror games? it's just a concern of mine.
