Nice work, would make good base textures - that's how I work usually and am assuming you'd do the same (like maybe have these as a background layer then have detail drawn on top).

They may be basic, but that way they will tile nicely if need be, metal can be a real pain to tile without repeating noticeably.

Van B, Yeah, thats how I work. I do it that way cause I can use the same base texture to make loads of completly different looking textures.
