Quote: "I had no end of trouble with people complaining about you and the other FPSC moderators while doing tech support, more over Rick and Rich last time you banned me said you have over stepped your bounds and they'd look in to it."

Yet again, I'm baffled as to where you get your information from...as I never banned you (that I recall). As for anyone that has a problem with how we do our jobs on the FPSC side, they are always welcome to e-mail myself or one of the other FPSC Mods anytime they choose.

Quote: "Although after the first response in this thread, I'd guess that it may have ended up being simply forgotten about; which would explain why you're still running around like a little forum nazi, threatening users."

Then I suggest you contact Rich and/or Rick again to remind them.

Somehow I doubt I am though."

Raven,
As a mod, I know that I (and many other mods) welcome the FPSC mods to help in the other forums. As far as I am concerned, they all do a fine job.

As for your other comments in this thread:
It would have made no sense for TGC to make a digital delivery system 3 years ago. They didn't have enough products to justify it. "If" you actually sent the suggestion, it was probably in a 10 page essay message (not unlike your forum posts) which nobody ever really reads. Most people say, "Oh look, another long message from Raven..... *toggle*"
I know that I am getting pretty tired of your "TGC is stupid for whatever reason" attitude. If you think you can captain a ship better, then please go do so. Or... at least do something. I beg you. "Well done" is always better than "well said". Hell, "poorly done" is always better than "well said". You sure say a lot.

Actually it was logic's choice.

Pretty sure logic had nothing to do with it. It was an illogical comment that prompted my response.

Just in case you were wondering, Raven...I didn't ban you this time either. Happy Holidays.

Raven, some helpful advice, your posts have absolutely zero credibility because you have never produced anything, or provided proof of any of your outlandish claims.

If you want people to respect what you have to say why don't you go and write a little demo.

A shader, perhaps, you were after all "the guy writing most of the demos at nVidia" not too long ago.

Raven,
That would be me.And,as far as I know,I am the only FPSC mod that has moderated you.So you issues are with me.I won't bore anyone as to why I banned you...they probably already know.
And I get particularly pissed off when people use racial slurs (such as "nazi").No excuse to post this garbage and in 2007 we shouldn't have to read it.

Please have mercy and use the search function.

I don't want to add to the 'Raven bashing' here, but I have got to say that if bans were given out for posting incorrect information, Raven would be banned for about 900 years . I don't mind people getting things wrong (we all do from time to time) as long they accept and acknowledge when someone corrects them rather than rant about it.

Anyway, back towards the real topic... would the whole TGC publishing malarkey be like Steam (bad idea in my opinion) or more like a traditional Web shop like they have now (good idea in my opinion although obviously piracy could be a problem)? I know details are sketchy at the moment but wasn't this mentioned at the conference recently?

It sounds like it would be more like a "Turbo Squid"-type thing (for the developers of media and the like). As far as actual commercial games go; it may be more like a GG or Popcap type of thing. There was talk about having some sort of application that integrates with FPSCX10, letting you buy/download media...and having it go right into the Editor's library.

I guess we'll have to wait and see.

You're lucky. Happens a lot to us (PS1 and PS2) with some games.

But we certainly don't get slow running caused by obscure Windows bottlenecks.

Unfortunately, firms do go out of business and one of my favourite games seems to have fallen foul of that.

Maybe this is a terrible idea, but I think it might be kind of cool if developers using this service could have special second avatars in their titles. Like, maybe an avatar next to our current ones, where mods have their MOD badge and Butters has his BOTB thing. Maybe instead of "user," it could say "Software Developer" or something like that. Maybe that special avatar could be a company logo or something. I think it's safe to say MISoft would definetely use a service like that, and while I can't speak for anyone else, I for one would think it'd be cool to have it promote my team a bit more . Again, this might be my worst idea in a while, hehe. Just figured I'd mention it.

Edit: Siggy test on an old thread

Those badges would have to get the OK by Rich, as he would be the one to impliment them. It doesn't hurt to throw ideas about them around though....you never know.
