In less than two months, you have created more models than I could ever possibly do on my own. You are amazing at modelling. Keep at it. I now have to go find money to purchase this pack.

why do that when she can sell them on her own, without giving away any commission, after all I cant see that users would not look at these forums, also she is building a name by releasing a lot of products so her name and site will be getting known so the marketing is fine.

Id like to see a horror pack with stuff to build structures with. Like what we would see in a quake 1 or doom 1 and 2 game.
outdoor stuff
Like this.
http://www.beyondunreal.com/content/potd_images/shrine1_1220.jpg
http://www.beyondunreal.com/content/potd_images/shrine4_1220.jpg
for indoor, perhaps this kind of feel

http://www.beyondunreal.com/staff/hal/news/gowspire10.jpg
http://www.beyondunreal.com/staff/hal/news/gowspire7.jpg

The engine is obviously a high end one, so of course fpsc will not be able to get the same thing, and you may not be doing bump/displacement/parallax type maps as its dx9, but you get the idea, the out door shots show a good feel, its got that original Doom look, which I think is more in line to what kind of theme games fpsc can perhaps do.
Fpsc is mostly walls and stuff, it would be good to break them up with entities to make it look less so, so id like to see stuff to do that, arches, plinths, obelisks, things to stick on top of walls, on the walls, coming out of walls, spires and archways, enclaves coming out of walls, things to stick on ceilings, vaulted parts to stick on ceilings to make them look less square, just things to break up the fact the game is made out of flat walls and stuff, got to break up that flatness with gubbings to change the silhouette shape.

The stone motif's are melted into the walls via csg, and can be used on any walls.

thats pretty nice, It would be a good idea to make them of different depths, I use segments of different depth to avoind flatness, I personally make my segments have depths of,
10 units
20 units
40 units
60 units
80 units
When one has thicker walls you can cut into them a lot more, it also makes a better design, only using 10 unit walls in a game looks flat, its also a waste of having to have all those segments, they all take up comp space and power, so I make use of them by using segments of different depths.

Also for a future pack
Twisted up trees are great, see here
http://img384.imageshack.us/img384/7466/fantasyartgrimreaperandzr2.jpg
Look at pictures by Frank Frazetta, he does a lot of those gnarly trees.
Heres from a quick search a gallery with images of the artist
http://www.urbanrecluse.net/frazetta/index.php?tpp=56&p=1
Their are better galleries if you do a search on the artist.

When creating a room with the room segment from this pack, I get the error:

Is anyone else getting this error?

Also how about having some flat 2d planes with images on, these are great to use as backdrops, like distant castles etc, just make a 2d plane and stick an masked/aplha image of something on it, you could make a whole pack just with those.

Hi Anja,

All those files seem to be correct and I'm running V1.07. I did notice in "Floor.X" that there is are a few references to 'ManWallLA_D2.tga' and 'ManFloorA_D2.tga'. Not sure if they are textures already there but I did a compete search in the Files folder of FPSC and 'ManWallLA_D2.tga' couldn't be found.

hmm my files doesnt have those references.
every wall uses texturebankuserBeFUN.dk - WhisperScene1wall_01_D2.tga

as they should.

edit. ah you mean the xfile? yeah shouldn matter i reused the flat floor box from mansion kit. But the segment file pastes new references in the dbo files.

Is there anyone other than me who got this working..

...that's probably the culprit. You could just open the .x file, do a search for the texture reference, manually update the reference, and save it.

Nicky try downloading this and extracting to:
FPS CreatorFilesmeshbankuserBeFUN.dk - WhisperScene1***

Ive removed the references in the .x file, if this doesnt work there seems to be no solution other than FPSC bugging out again.

And it seems 2 out of all buyers is having this problem..
Unless your name is Andy then your the only one having this problem.

Waiting for tanya to reply on this. Crossing my fingers

Just reinstalled FPSC and now you room is working Anja. It does seem like it was FPSC itself as I tried a stock segment and was getting the same error. Sorry for all the confusion.

If you're ever going to do another Horror type pack I have a few ideas:

* Grandfather clock (2 textures, one with hands at 12 and one without hands)
* 2 Suits or armour (1 mirroring the other)
* a deer's head (mounted on a wooden shield - "http://onnintendo.com/Posts/2007_07/64/2/00001.jpg")
* a coat of arms (like a shield)

Anja Viotile, glad to see you are back as I've been really looking forward to getting your Horror models (though I may have to wait until the end of the month).
I also agree with Nickydude's ideas for the next pack and they would work well with these models.
