These are the notes that I took down while playing your game...
Review is in the code.
SPOILER ALERT!
When opening, there is a nice background on the menu screen. Just a personal opinion, but I think it looks good. The opening room was believable. The lights were pretty realistically placed, although a little low. In the second room, the corner behind the laptop was really dark. Now, it does look cool for part of the room to be dark, but when the main light source in a room is a laptop, it needs to be a little brighter. I really like the broken light that the laptop illuminated, though. At this point, the noise of the electricity was annoying and made me turn down the volume to a pretty low setting. The panels located throughout the area were a little hard to hear with all of the ambience. I stopped to take a look at the guy with the pole stuck through his back, and I have to say, great job on that one. Going on from there, the small computer explosion at the top of the ramp was unexpected but awesome! That was one of the best ideas I've seen in a scifi game in FPSC. Another nice thing was the broken core in the next room. It really seemed dangerous to get close to. But there wasn't much in the way of urgency in the demo. It was simply walk here, take your time if you would like, and admire the scenery... Although said scenery was nice, it didn't seem as though the core was about to explode. The demo was also really, really short. It seemed that there were only about 7 rooms in the entire demo. Now, these rooms were really well decorated and it did feel like a real scifi base, but it didn't seem like I was in that much danger from the core explosion when I am right next to the exit. If you work on length and intensity, this easily has a shot at taking home the prizes in the New Year Level Comp.
