Ahh. Got it. With the speed improvements, it should play fine though, I'm assuming?

Nice man!
Please don't turn it into a water logged level like most X10 games though.

Here's a tip you probably already thought of: Set the segment floors walk sound below the water to a water splash/swoosh sound (like feet through a puddle).

AaronG, not to worry mate, I will use a lot of taste when implementing the water feature.

As will I.

I was thinking of coding into the source that if the user is partially submerged in water it would play a water sound to justify the depth in which they are submerged.

Example:

Splish splash sounds if it's like, just their feet.
Forcing body through water around waist high.

Something like that?

As of right now, when completely submerged, there are no footstep sounds. Not enough gravity for those to kick in I guess.

The one and only,

it would definitely be cool to add an audio filter that adds a muddy chorus type effect to it when submerged...

All you would have to do is slow the modulation down a bit and add a slight echo to it... but add the echo before the modulation slow down or you will get a very unpleasant sound..

Cheers,
Dave

It is very nice to have. Lemur is not complete yet but as with all things the MOD must work with the level it's being showcased in..

I am rendering videos right now and should have them posted in the next few hours. My computers acting like a little girl right now.

Cheers,
Dave

Dude, THIS, LOOKS, AWESOME, looks very pro like, it has a Condemned: Criminal Origins look in my eyes, dont know why, probably cause this looks gloomy and horror level type design.

Anyway, this is some of the best stuff I've seen, keep it up.

If used right, every game should have water. The thing is, is that most are in awe for it, and go overboard with it, flooding their entire level.

But as this game is supposed to showcase Lemurs features, I think we can allow the water.

Edit: grammer.

There should be water in this. It would make it really nice looking if it was done properly. Not too much, but just enough to get your feet wet.

Thanks for the great comments guys. They are all appreciated and are driving me to create the single player version of this game. I am still working with URLForce to get a complete list of features that will eb included int his MP release. As soon as I know you will know

After all the lemur testing is complete I will start working the single player story line. I will start a new thread when I begin the single player version..

* so many edits to get my sig right. and another edit...this sucks! I give up on trying to add an image to my sig, it never works for me.

Cheers,
Dave

Kind of a shame that I haven't posted anything new for this. I am playing the waiting game like the rest of you... As soon as I have the go ahead from the lemur team I will update this thread mode..

As far as I know, most of what was going to be in lemur may be incorporated in the 1.09 update. do not quote me on it though. I have to talk to URLForce and see what's going on with the MP release. Once that is sorted out I will release this.

Cheers,
Dave

Thanks guys.

Candle_ yeah it's a bit of a downer but you just have to push through it.

Goth 1 Sniper- There is nothing fancy going on in my level, just sound level design and entity placement.

Now for the rest of you-
The good news:

I am going to clean this up a bit and release it as is. I haven't heard anything further from the Lemur group and don't suspect I will.

The bad news:

There is not going to be water in it, unless Plystire wants to send me the files that were originally intended to be released with this game. I doubt that is going to happen though (Nothing ill towards Ply and the gang).

The ray of hope:

This has all of the MP features that were promised (Minus CFT).

Dave

It should not be much longer before this is released. I have to do some graphics for the loading page and the buttons. I have fixed all the discrepancies that were noted during testing.

here's the deal. I am stepping away from FPSC. I still have the media and fpm for this game if someone would like to have it.
