Dunno if it's just me being dense, but I can't seem to get any transparent surfaces to appear when I import .x files into DBpro.

I'm using 32-bit TGAs as textures (and untextured transparent surfaces too), and I've tried a few different ways of exporting to x-file format.

Any ideas? Or is alpha-blending in DBP objects just not supported?

?
What are you on about?

If you want to alphablend an object, use the "ghost object on/off" command.
If you want certain parts of the object to be invisible, texture it with the designated transparent color (default black, but you can set it using the "Set Colorkey" command)
and specifying "Object Transparency" for the object.

If you mean certain parts of the object to be ghosted and others not, I don't think thats supported.

Yeah - I want to have some polys solid, and others (like windows) partly transparent...

if the windows are sprites, then you can use SET SPRITE ALPHA. i think GHOST OBJECT is the only way to alphablend objects, but when I was looking at ALPHA AVAILABLE() in the online manual it says you can put alpha channels into your textures and that will ghost just a specific limb/object to a certain level.

if you want a surface transparent/alpha'd do it in your program by giving it a seperate material with is transparent to how you want it (may have to be a seperate object because i doubt DBpro supports multi-textureing)
simple solution for a simple problem eh
