Cool. Will the Geometric story teller have a voiceover? His voice is what makes him him funny, I think.

If anyone is interested, you can also follow the progress of the 8 new episodes of the show.

http://www.milkpaton.blogspot.com

I am fairly dilligent about updating this - I dont update it every day because...who wants to know every little thing behind the show? I only blog the milestone things or major shoots.

In any case, since you wont be seeing any new MP episodes until at least autumn this should give you your fix.

GAME WILL BE DONE AND RELEASED ON THE 2ND.
(Required I get the 3D model textured for me in time)

So wait, just to make sure, was the last episode released the one right after the end of Paton Break? I'd hate to have missed some.

Oh, and Fraps DOES record sound. it's just an option you have to turn on. I use it in most of my in game vids.

Simply amazing. I just love how you reuse objects. The trees, ferns, and matricies! It's really awesome. And your platforms are pretty sweet. You really are doing an outstanding job.

And what are your goals in this? Like ... did you say, "I'm going to make a game in X hours that can do this this and this?" Or what?
I don't follow the Milk Paton series at all, I don't even know what it is, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

Again, amazing work Drew.

OMG... I just finished looking at the Blog. Milk Paton looks like it's going pro...! That looks like it will be amazing. I'm expecting a much higher grade of quality then of course though. I eagerly await.

Question time.

Quote: "i have to ask, how will Paton feature in the game? and what about Mark and Robert?"

They won't at this time, this is the backstory of a Terrorist Arrow who comes to prominence in a future episode.

Quote: "And what are your goals in this? Like ... did you say, "I'm going to make a game in X hours that can do this this and this?" Or what? I don't follow the Milk Paton series at all, I don't even know what it is, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it."

My goal from Day 1 was to make a game in 15-20 videos, in the mould of the old Lost World game for PSX.

The goal in the game is simply to get to the end of the level, make no mistake this is a very short game because the development cycle has been short. It's a mini game. You're looking at around 5 - 10 minutes of gameplay.

Quote: "Oh, and Fraps DOES record sound. it's just an option you have to turn on. I use it in most of my in game vids."

Not in-game audio on my computer, (you cant record sound on this computer because it doesnt allow it - in sound recorder or any other program for that matter) and I dont have a microphone. In short; you can't in my case.

How come your website doesn't work? Everytime I go there it says something about cPanel and Apache servers!

I really want to watch some of these milk patons!

Looking very good mate, I've been following through, this has also been a good learning experience as well, can't wait until you release it, it shows how hard work pays off.

I just had a thought- are you planning to have a number of milk paton games (over a long period of time, I mean)? This one was done impressively fast, and seems to be something of an episode itself. And the fact that you've developed a bunch of useful code... Just seems to me that with the environment code alone you could start another game and have a good set of code to work off of.

Well, as with any code I can come back to it in the future. Alot of this code is from Dumbow & Cool and the water effect was from Go Karting, for example.

I've released two games in the past 6 months; you won't be seeing anything else from me for a while once this is released because I'll be working on the actual show for the forseeable future.
