Hello all - I'm just getting used to DBPro, so I may be missing something.

I need to write some 2D games that will work even on older video cards, such as a lovely 2MB NeoMagic that's built into an older Sony laptop.

I put together a tetris clone that works great on a machine with a "real" video card, using mostly sprites, which I thought were 2D. But it doesn't run at all on this older machine, which does have DX8.1 but does not have 3d hardware acceleration - "Display cannot be created due to unknown DirectX error at line 0."

My best guess is that the sprites are really 3d, which is making the older video card unhappy.

Is there a different approach with DBPro that will work to write simple 2d games with low system requirements? Or am I missing something...
