Maybe use the same way firefox etc save stuff for autocomplete??

I think notepad did it and saved them until reboot? I know I used to use something like notepad to edit lots of files using replace and it stored my last replacement, so I could just select it.

As to the bit you want to fix for search/replace in your replies above, I really don't have a problem with how it works in general and have never noticed this loss of window focus you speak of.

Your signature has been erased by a mod. The sig needs to be 600 width maximum (x 120 height) for all of it.

If I understand what you would like, I tried Notepad and it doesn't seem to do that.

However, I understand what you are saying regarding Firefox.

Thanks for asking. Look at first post regarding adding commands (at bottom of first post I believe).

However, when I update and finish doing rpg mod commands I will also probably do the new fpsc version commands as well. So, I will have it done for myself and will be glad to share. However this will not be anytime soon.

NOTE:

I have postponed adding anything new because of other pressing needs.

A TIP for the insert template for fpi.

You can edit a file called template.txt and customize the template to meet your personal needs and or desires. This file is located in the parent folder of FPI EditPad. The same folder that the EXE file is located.

I don't even have all of the RPG Mod commands incorporated into the EP. But this is now next up on my projects list as well as continuing to work on my game. They go hand in hand because I am using a lot of RPG Mod commands.

I was looking around for a database or something with the rpg mod commands in it so that i could just copy it straight over (i have done it from the manual but i am wondering if any are missing from it XD ) anyway, also, I would like comments for it too, that little balloon that pops up when u hover over the command.

Thanks.

@nbt,

I think I have the "saved" search/replace words figured out. If I understand correctly what will happen is that every time you select a search or replace word and it is used, it will be saved in a DB. It will also be saved as an item with the drop down field. I guess I was thinking about doing this before as this field was a drop down that would have a list of data. This will be saved forever. I will see how easy it will be for doing maintenance on it -- deleting it on demand.

I'm making good headway for "saved" search/replace words. I have created four sort options that can be accessed through the options drop down menu (Search/Replace).

* Sort by Date - Ascending
* Sort by Date - Descending
* Sort by Alphabetical - Ascending
* Sort by Alphabetical - Descending

If you highlight a search word or phrase and it is in the DB then it will not create another instance of it. However, if it cannot be found then it will be added to the DB. The list will be sorted accordingly.

Addendum:

I decided to make a second sort within the "date" sorts. In other words if the date is ascending or descending, the second sort within the sorted date will be an alphabetical sort by search/replaces word. I'm not sure if this will be helpful or not but at the time it makes sense to me.

I'm testing the update now. I should be uploading the new version today.

It features the added search/replace drop down list with the ability to sort by date or alphabetically either ascending or descending. I have changed the max lines from 150 to 350. Lines will not turn red until you reach 351.

Addendum:

This is possibly the last update I will make and am thinking of creating an updated installer for this version.

Version 3.3.95 is now available. Please see post #1 regarding this download.

It features . . .

* the added search/replace drop down list with the ability to sort by date or alphabetically either ascending or descending. I have added a delete button which will become visible when you select a list item by clicking on it. You are able to then delete this list item if you so desire. A list item is saved forever unless you delete it.

* I have changed the max lines from 150 to 350. Lines will not turn red until you reach 351.

My next "to-do" is to create a brand new install (setup) application for this version. It will not contain any RPG features. It will have all stock commands through FPSC v1.17. You will also notice that the newest version does not include the RPG Mod templates insert option.

I'm in transition here. I want to make FPI EditPad within the community totally independent of all mods. However, I will be setting up a RPG Mod version which will be available through you. I just hadn't contacted you about this.

For those who want the RPG Mod version that is so far available you can download it using the download button link.

Great program. Best part - Makes scripting easier with the help tooltips, most annoying part - problem when selecting text.

Here are the updated condition and actions files up to the 119 relese.

Back up your own files in case you made changes you want to keep.
Then replace the files with the ones in the download button.

Please let me know if any of the conditions or actions are not working.

Will be working on the RPG mode ones. Also planning to add the readable system variables to the files.

You guys are welcome.

Some of the new commands dont fall in to exitsting categories for the dropdowns. Flatlander is going to work on adding the new categories. You should see all the new ones under the all categories.

I believe he means it's not in the program. I use this command. It is a condition. Here is info on this command condtion:

3.17.1.3 MOUSECLICK=X
Description: This returns true if the corresponding mouse button has been
pressed
Range: X = 1 – Left button is pressed,
X = 2 – Right button is pressed,
X = 3 – Both left and right buttons are pressed.
Example: :mouseclick=1:state=1

Must be in the engine itself. As it work in FPIeditpad.
I have not messed with it in the engine yet.
I wonder if Ched80 has?

Well there you go. Must have been for future or something.

I have not downloaded the code for the new build yet.

Also I am not going to add the system variables, as they are not actions or conditions. People will just have to learn where to find there meanings.

I wouldn't bother with the system variables either. I think they're already in Ched80's unofficial manual. This is mainly for the command list window, anyway.

I have rpg_mouseclick in RPGmod. I think I will edit this command to be more useable. Right now it just checks to see if buttons 1, 2, 3, or 4 are pressed. No combinations are available nor does it check to see if any button was pressed. Ooops just thought that this is the wrong place to place this. Oh well, I'll leave it.

Added 4-5-2012
REMOVECURRENTWEAPON - This removes the players current weapon and also removes it from the weapon slot.
CREATEBULLETSPLASHSOUND=X - setting to 0 turns it off. setting to 1 turns it back on
Also note that Mouseclick=x does not appear to be in the code yet.
Files in download button. EDIT: Download removed see later post

Again if you find condition or actions not listed please let me know.

Thanks

1. aiaction is in the actions list. also in the Dark AI section

2. entityfloorequal if it works, probably should be a condition EDIT: Its in the code

3. newweaponcanbeseen I will have to search the code to find out if it exists EDIT: Its in the code

4. I will remove one of the hasweapon conditions EDIT second one has been removed
Give me some time to download the new code for the engine and check.

Thank you for bring these to my attention.
