I've made a front-end that can create a server sofar. I select my connection from the list and then press Update. My problem is, say I select IPX. If I later want to choose TCP/IP I get an error. This is understandable but is there a way to reset the connection to something else whether destroying it and starting from scratch or otherwise?

in Dx itself you can - but it'll lag the connection like crazy... you couldn't in DB thou and probably still can't.
Need to terminate and reconnected - do a quick timeout reload thou, send a final packet of information that makes the clients go into load mode until told otherwise by the server or they timeout
then in that send a stream of what the changes need to be!
