Quote: "a game where the player guides the Hero / Heroin through dangerous environments"

The player "guides heroin trough dangerous environments"? Is that a nice way of saying smuggling drugs?

Don't take that the wrong way. I weren't being rude, it's just that you want to stay away from such typos in a competition if you want it to appear serious, which I'm sure you do.

Looks like a fun compo though, with prizes not too shabby either.

This message was brought to you by Grandma industries.

Im so conflicted!
First this and the Text adventure compos go up, and i decide to enter both. I get a good text adventure engine down, just no story, so i decide to move onto the heroes one, but then! I discover the Dream Build Play challenge with XNA, which i immidetly started work on.

I wanted to work on this, cause i had such a good idea

EDIT: well now ive gone and done it. Ive downloaded PlayBasic on my new computer. I shall work on the platformer in the darkest hours of the night, and my XNA entry durring the day... ITs going to be tight.

This is my WIP, not even ready for a WIP thread yet though.http://smallgroupproductions.com/

Yea
well, ive been dividing up my day into XNA and PlayBASIC. I have just finished what needed doing for XNA today, so after I go eat, I can move onto playBASIC and figure out why my collision makes the rest of the map MOVE when i shut all their velocitys off ?!?

EDIT:
Steadily going insane... Must... Maintain... Focus.... Must code faster to enter both contests...

Yes I do I actually wanted to make a platformer with my idea that I shall reveal if I ever actually get far enough anyway. Coding is my zen activity. I do it for fun, it helps however that there are some cash prizes at the finish line

and YES! after 3 nights, some of my work is starting to pay off

IM TRYING! theres not much time to spare, and it does NOT help that I just had to take a week in NH (USA STATE), and that school starts in 3 days... oooohh nooooooo!

Well, if it doesnt get done in time, oh well, I dont plan on rushing a game just to enter a contest, although it would be nice.

I had a great idea based on an old kid's cartoon, but I just don't have the animation skills to pull it off.

Looking forward to seeing the results of this contest. I wish I could have entered, but when I finished my other project, I had almost no time, and a really unstable engine to work with. I dont think it would have worked out well.
