Is there a permanent server up for this?

Even my crappy level I made was AMAZING with just 2 people to me, so trying a out a nicely made level would be cool.

Dang. I have an idea for my FPSC MP level.

Make a one-segment room with a plain, 1x1 pixel texture, make a special character, similar (to save polygons and texture space) then make this character spawn in the special room outside the map. Call it the host. Then you could use a server hosting PC for your game. Not practical, but if someone had a PC like that, it could work.

I've thought of this too. A "Ghost" server (host) would be great so that you can host it continually without using a character for it.

Unfortunately, it would waste a whole PC and it would have to be a fairly good one. You could also make the player speed 0, if possible, and make a "now hosting sign texture for the walls.

Yeah, if I get a new PC sometime and keep this one, it may serve that purpose.

How is the army BTW? As bad as most say? It's my plan c for the future, plan B being a life as a computer geek + odd jobs and plan A university.

Hmm...The army, as an entity, cannot be beat. You can mess up royally and not get fired. You get paid for room, board and clothing. Your pay is "gravy" if you are frugal with your money. You get to travel the world and not just to Iraq. I have spent 3 years in Europe and Hawaii each.

The army is what you make of it. Work hard and it works hard for you. Screw off and it may screw you. Everything has pros and cons. For most, the pros outweigh the cons. It's only bad if you don't have the willpower to take the bad with the good.
