I know it's been a long time since I last posted on the Forums here on TGC, but I've been trying to do the best I could to get FPS Creator to do better then it was doing before. but it turns out, I was a fool to trust my computer. so I'm gonna have to make the best of thing from here on out.

And I'll do so by announcing a remake of my once-scrapped project Generation X. it's bigger, better, and the story is in order at last.

Okay, AI is no longer the hero, and the goal is not to get vengeance for his lost comrades.

Instead, this is the new story:

You are Thomas Drachenhart. (pronounced Drah-can-heart) a Germany-born "Threat Hunter" who was transported to America during a war in his hometown of Prague.

Drachenhart spent 22 years living in Houston, Texas, and the next 5 years living in his permanent estate in Orlando, Florida. He had served for a national defense agency known as "Scorpius" for 3 years now. having proved himself an elite among his other employees.

however, a recent study in cloning technology has proved to have very awkward effects on it's subjects. one of Scorpius's scientist, Former Militant Dr.X (colonel x) had apparently grown impatient over wondering if humans can be cloned. and as a result, tried to clone himself. The effect on him was disastrous. as the gamma that was used for the machine had caused him to lose complete sanity. therefore, he came under the delusion that he was to take the world under his control. He took his myriad of Braindead clones and began an all-out assault on the city. leaving the others to deal with Scorpius.

Drachenhart was in his quarters reading through some documents during the attack. until the lights dimmed red and his autocon came on with a voice that said:

EXPLICIT but censored
"look alive, Drachenhart! we've got a serious problem over here. Dr.X cloned himself and now he and his clones are trying to kill us. get you're *** out here now! we're getting shot the **** up here! MOVE!"

with that, Drachenhart must get in to the fray and figure out what's going on.

BEFORE I SHOW YOU ANYTHING, READ THE PARAGRAPH BELOW:

Now, as I've said before, I was trying to get FPSC better by download tons of stuff off the web like updates, media, etc. but all of which had some negative effect. I'll just have to be more cautious about what I do.

Here are some things I plan to add:
Suggested improvements
Any Freebies on the web that don't screw up my program copy.

Okay. Screenie time. Level is not finished. as I plan to add more to it. MORE TO COME!

You know i used to be better at level design before now... But now i had to throw away my skills to give fpsc a good frame-rate.......

This game looks great. Keep it up.

Thank you.

I know the fact that there's a lot of Scifi material in the game. but let's be technical for a this:

The game takes place in 2015. laser-powered weaponry has only come so far at this point, that the in-game characters are still left with generic bullet based guns. but as far as pistols go, laser power IS advanced enough.

Also, Credits to the band Motorhead for producing such an awesome song. which I used as BGM for level 1.

here's a second shot.

Looks just a tiny bit bland in the 1st screen. Also your guna need more custom media. Never can have to much custom media.

I'll see if I can. FPSC hasn't really been all that trustworthy to me lately. Lagging, enemies being stupid by not responding quick enough, and every update I tried had some negative effect. and to be more precise about the BGM, I used, "Ace of spades" for it.

But FPS FREE should have what I need. and I'll do some more work on Tom's dormitory soon.

but don't think I can make things myself. I apparently know nothing about creating media.

yeah. you know what, FPSC has forced me to give up on this project.

I'm gonna do something that my copy CAN handle.

I would appreciate it if a mod would lock this because Gen.X is dead forever.

(under breath) Thanks a lot you stupid AI scripts...

Hmm, I thought it looked pretty good, shame to give up on it. But yeah the ai isnt too great in fpsc 1.xx. I just played a game made with x10, alienxtreme, and the scripts seemed better. I may bring my game to x10. Well, if you give up with this game I hope you can make something else that the program can do. When I got the program I was like yeah I'm gonna make a huge outdoor level with tons of buildings to explore and stuff lol. I learned quick it was not to be done Well, good luck with your next one.
