Hi, well this is probably my first serious project, i have been playing around with different Genres, Fantasy, Sci Fi, Horror, Military, Modern day and I think i like horror the best. After playing The Warehouse I was really inspired to try and make one myself, so i made myself a bit of back story and got to work, This is only level 1 so please keep it kind

It should be relatively lag free!
Emphasis on the SHOULD!

Story Line:

Quote: "Project Dark Blade was began in 2014, the United States of America put forward there best doctors, scientists and marine biologists to all become apart of Project DB or Dark Blade. The idea of the project was to 'revive' dead cells, they began testing with a few skin cells of animals, such as rats and dogs and as there progress became more and more succesful they continued on to testing on full animals, and eventually human volunteers.

They began by two patients who had, had body parts removed. There parts had died, they used DB injected into the veins to revive the cells and make the limbs come back to life, or life enough to be re-attatched to the host.

They progressed on to a small group of other amputee's wishing to have there limbs or body parts re-attatched. All was fine, untill one day on the 12th of july 2016 when all hell broke loose.

Several of the amputee patients had died, perfectly natural causes. Nothing out of the ordinary but after around a week horrible scratching noises had been heard from the graveyards near where each of them were buried. After around a week they stopped, Just animals most people guessed. They were half right of course.

Animals, thats all. Many people said, but beneath the earth, there was a much different story to be told. The dead that had been injected with DB had been revived by its cell revival effects, the host had been dead for so long though that the brain had been destroyed, instead DB took special signals through those known as 'The First' the first were a group of amputees who were given DB first, for some strange and unusal reason they had been effected alot more by the medicine and had become, inhuman creatures.

They became, Shroudlings.
The Shroudlings were taller than any normal human, much stronger as well. There was deformed, hideous to the human eyes so they hid themself behind a blood soaked towel. There loss of vision was hardly a let down because there other senses were super enhanced, they could hear your footsteps before you were even near by, they could sense your presence before even entering the same building as them, these Shroudlings created others, they could not pass down there power to those weaker than them, so they created a system which allowed others to harness the power of the shroud. They severed off there old infected arms and legs and replaced them with cold hard metal, drill blades on the arm and metal clawed stilts for the legs.

The others although, physically were no stronger than your average infectee had the uncanny ability of sticking a giant drill blade through your chest. Hardly the nicest people on earth.

After being chased into a storage facility by a flock of infected you are chased through the pitch black alleys and corridors of storage facility 1A. eventually you find yourself at a dead end, just your knife in hand. a sharp scratching at the door to the room your in brings your alertness up, escape the infected, dont let them take you down. What ever you do just dont let them take you down! and watch out for the others or The First.

Known Bugs:
Sometimes you must jump over corpses in door ways.
when you meet a Other you can see outside.
Sometimes its impossible to see.
Need to edit loading screen image and music

Top Ingame Tips:
Jump over corpses or pull enemies into the room/light.
Dont waste Ammo, use your knife when you can. Those bullets are precious.
Keep walking, theres always a light/Light switch at the end of the tunnel ( Maybe a zombie too )
Dont play if you get scared easily

Screenshots aren't showing much but I'm liking the story. Hope you finish this

EDIT: Ok, I played the demo.

It was pretty OK but there's some major and minor problems. First of all: You should make the level a bit brighter becouse it was really painful to navigate in darkness.
Second: Where are the light sources? Lighting was pretty good and atmospheric but I didn't see any light sources anywhere (lamps, lanters, torches etc.)
Third: The level was pretty empty. Try adding more entities. (Boxes, barrels, papers, sofas, anything).

Although this demo had lots of cons, there's also pros.
First: Enemy placement was pretty good.
Second: The level had a nice creepish ambience all the time.

I'd give it a 6.5/10
