I am having difficulty loading objects that I have made into DBP even when the objects are in the correct folders and have the correct links to the objects in the code I am getting errors saying that the objects cannot be found, this happens whether they are in .3ds or .x form, I noted on the read me for patch 2 that dbs is working on a new work around/system for objects that won't load,I am wondering if my objects fall into this category, is there any news on this system or a guide for a rough time when this new system will be available? or is there something silly I am missing in trying to load the objects? I can send you the objects and code should it help, I wanted to check I am not the problem before sending anything in.

Thanks for any assistance.

You have to save a .dbpro project file before it will load in any media. I dunno why but it needs that file.

Ok now I have finally figured out how to load my objects...

It takes a strange way to do so but it works, here is how I have to load them, in the editor I start in the Project view mode, name the new project and save all, set up the code to load an object and add the actual object through the media and add buttons respectivly I then click the browse button and choose the model need and click the checkbox for copying the object to this new project folder, from here I can not load the model even when saving all again, saving anything infact does not help the situation, I have to now delete the object loaded and copied to the new folder and then re-add it to the project media file, now it will load, except if I want to do anything with the limbs of that object, I am still working on a work around for the limbs problem so I won't complain yet, but I am having great difficuly getting a program similar to the limb checker program found in DB1 to work in DBP, I know they are different programs(DB1 and DBP) but you would think the objects limbs returned in DB1 would return the same in DBPRO? they don't seem to want to do that right now though, but again this may be me? I will try and get some source together to back up my problems, but not having anywhere to upload to doesn't help the situation anyway I will endevour to find a resolution, if anyone has encountered such problems or just problems with limbs on objects in DBP I would appreciate some help on the subject or other notes on what does or doesn't work when dealing with limbs..

Many thanks

now heres something bizarr and that is the objects now work and load ok through the initial adding and copying to the project folder.. The problem with the whole objects seems to have sorted itself, however the limbs of the objects still remain a problem.. just hope that sorts itself too..
