well, it's a simple racing game, no high target, really, but one thing is my target: player must have a nice time when it's playing this game, and will play this little game for many times, not only one!

The graphics from this game, they're just how do call it? They're cute, I think that's the right word. I don't know how the game plays of course, but from what I can see I think, like I said, I like this game!

it's a powerup, is ghosting your car and you can pass trough other cars.

I think the skybox next to the track makes it look more cartoony.

Nice game!!! Or nice screenshots... Offcourse I don't know 'bout the game yet but I will want to play this when this comes up!!! One thing I would like to know:
I looked into those pictures and didn't see any ground height changes. Is it so that there ain't no ground height changes? Just wondering that am I the only one who is trying to make a car game with height differences (it is a simulator, so it's a little bit different ). If anybody knows car games made in Db or Dbpro that contains height differences in the track you could be nice and inform me. BUT NICE LOOKING GAME ERMES!!! I like that cartoony look. I think this kind of a game could be even published, cause a little change could be good to all those who play car games. Nowadays there are too many car games that are the same. The Reason I'm making a simulation with realistic graphics is just that I haven't seen any good freeware one and I'm going to add split screen and internet multiplayer modes wich usually don't apper in Pc car games. Hey Ermes, Could you put somekind of a one or two track demo in the internet to all those who can't stand waiting (including me and I think pretty many in this forum )?

users, i thank you for the attention, i've to tell my game is only a little racing game with nice cars and cartoony grfx and sound.
Nothing more of this.Mario kart, Crash Team Racing, are another thing!!
But it can be nice to play sometimes with this game, this is for sure.

@3dZmaster

no height changes 'cause i'm using patch 3.1, turn and roll won't work, so i use a flat terrain. simply for this.

Demo?? i don't think so, i'll put online only a complete version.

Yea Split screen is very intresting, but i'm putting away this feature 'cause my pc is too slow, and i can't calibrate a game running 20 fps on my pc, and 150 fps on other's pc.

on Christmast i'm upgrading to PIV , i hope

Nintendo style is the game is like mario kart, yes, as like the graphics, sound efects, music and gameplay are like most game of nintendo consoles.
So, if Victory Road is like arcade racing, Sunday Drivers is a nintendo style racing game.
I don't want to compete, i've used Victory Road as example.

problem is Nintendo have made it a kiddie machine... name me 5 titles aimed at adults?
i can name you 1 out of a library of 140games, i know of only 1 which was aimed slightly more towards adults ... and even that game only just breaks the Teen Rating.

sorry i'm a HUGE nintendo fan - but the gamecube is a kids machine, theres no two ways about it.

I can't really name any games aimed towards adults, but mainly some games types and series aimed towards teens.

1- Zelda(j/k )
Alright, restart

1- All the resident evil games
2- Most of the wrestling games
3- sports games are aruguable, whether towards teens or not.
4- Metroid Prime, I guess it's arguable though.
5- Soul Calibar 2

Well there's tons more, but like I said, most of the above are aimed towards "teens" and not adults or kiddies.

metroid prime
eternal darkness
rogue leader
resident evil(and the rest of the series)
bmx triple x (shocking game not a very good example)

these are not adult orientated games? i so what if it has games made for enjoyment liek mario etc. just cause there colourful doesnt mean they are kiddy. And besides there are plenty of kids games on ps2 etc like spyro and mickey mouse, and i can tell you more little kids in australia own a ps2 than gamecube, infact the majority of gc owners are adults. Its all about marketing attitudes and hey this shouldnt really be in this thread hey. sorry. carry on, game looks good.

i've not seen that on anything cept PC & XBox ... the only real game aimed not so much on the shiney Nintendo front is Resident Evil 0.

even then though, its still been dummed down.
look at all the other "Teen" games, they've all been obviously dumbed down for kids.

Nintendo even dropped Kameo from Rare because she swears & wears almost nothing ... Rare's mandate of creating traditionally strong natured games is why Microsoft now hold why contract.
Starfox adventures was a miserable failer to Starfox fans because it just wasn't right for Rare to do something so cutsie.
10years ago they'd of gotten away with it, but on this current console they had no excuse. Especially considering all the content we saw in thier forums from "Pantsman" and then its all just dropped cause nintendo didn't like how it could be taken.

the point isn't that there arn't adult games around and on consoles - cause for the XBox and PS2 i could list literally 100 games which wouldn't be suitable for kids.
The GC has a single title which is kinda questionable ...

bmx xxx is unfortunatly on gc. full stop
and what ar u saying about rare and cutsie games. They on the rights
to donkey kong and banjo kazooie for goodness sake
maybe donkey kong nemore.
they created conker and goldenye and thats the only "adult" orientated games they made, and conker was originally the
hight of cutesy

lol eek.. you ever played Banjo kazooie or Banjo Tatooie hehee - there is ALOT of adult humour in them.

donkey is about as cutesie as they got - and they were assigned to make it rather than it being one of thier own games... just like starfox.
they've also created Killer Instinct, Perfect Dark, and i'd hardly call Conker the original cutsie.

you look at Rares own titles, they're oftenly quite violent and laced with language and very dark english humour.

I hope you manage to cram in those lil sound effects that all add to the atmosphere. I look forward to having a go on this

cant wait ermes. And raven have you playe deternal darkness etc, im sure you would realize that it wasnt aimed at kids, too much for kids to think about. And besides what do you classify as kids? cause if you think metroid prime and ed are aimed at them you msut think that 25 is a kids age . And with the rare sale they split the characters that they didnt want, kameo i think you mentioned, was (at the time) about a girl that runs around the wilderness transforming into teh animals that she sees to fight them, that doesnt sound very adulty does it, banjo kazooie was actually a kids game though it did have adult humour in it, which most kids wouldnt pick up on. But i can't see how you would think banjo kazooie isnt a kids game yet mario is when you base your kiddie mario argument on its cutsie graphics and easy gameplay. As for star fox sure it was rather family orientated i will give it that, but that wasnt a poor game cause it was too cutsie it was standard because it wasnt extreme like most other titles out today (not many of which are good).when rare left it the nintendo team had to fix up the loose ends in the coding etc to be able to bring it out. it was made by rare yet you say they don't make cutsie games? and donkey kong cutsie? are you mental? sur eits not adults with guns shooting each other fille dwith fast paced action blood guts raaaarrrr! but it's entertaining for adults in a way that is not the same as disney films do. anyway i shouldnt even care so much, its just some forumers spreading lies about the GC

"Do you know what characters can be used by Nintendo"

The characters made/ designed by Nintendo.

"And with the rare sale they split the characters that they didnt want"

No they didn't. Rare kept the rights to the characters they designed. That means everything except for Donkey Kong games, and Starfox (including characters for those games). There is already a new Starfox game being made, by Namco no less. Although the last I heard it was looking a bit ropey.

Back on topic. I think this game looks really cool. Whilst Ermes insistance on keeping this game free is nice (and I'm not complaining) I think his reasoning that people who want to charge for games shouldn't is ridiculous. I reckon a game that looks as clean and (hopefully) fun as this could sell very well, and there is a reasonable chance I would pay for a full version should he decide to charge for it.
