a couple things the demo was way to short, i couldn't hear what the voice was saying

and a big problem it wont let me delete it it just says you need permission to do this

other than that it was rather interesting but what is it supposed to be a training level?

also did you recentley play mirrors edge because there are several similarities, which is a good thing

I found out why the game was crashing deca. my computer doesn't like the dbprosounddebug.dll so it crashes bringing the whole house down on me. happens on unprotected games too.

@Dar13
I have been trying to work this out for you. Can you test games you make with the engine. I am wondering if the problem may be sound card hardware related. do you use a sound card? x9 supported? Have you recently formatted your pc, or recently purchased one?
I also was going to try and post in your B-Reports post, however it was locked due to the post format requested. If you continue to have this game play problem. I would contact tgc via customer support email. It may be a simple codec or driver needed.

Updates:
Some new adjustments have been made. We have been contacted by outside sources recently, I will leave it at that.

I can't even build a test game with the official version. it's looking like dbprosounddebug.dll requires a certain generation of sound card(ie not several years old). Guess i'll have to upgrade

@Mazz426, We are adding elements and media over the following month.

@Dar13. Check to see if your sound card or onboard sound supports direct x9. If you don't have a sound card and a free pci slot. They are fairly cheap these days for P3/P4's. If that's not a solution, I am not sure. Good luck.

Update:
Recently I was able to test a possible increase in play ability, based on style and future user's specs with our current and future media based on current and higher specs. The result was the all clear to go ahead.

I just had a cool idea. What if you divided the outdoor areas with invisible walls, and add a CSG in each one?

Then it would only render if the CSG was in sight, like the portals system does for indoor areas...

Clever placement of entities will make the player not notice the invisible walls as well...

@CG, interesting idea. I have done several tests with invis segs, however not with added CSG's. If I get time I will test that out.

@The Fps Creator rocks!- interesting, I had many people test the file, and even mods here didn't have a problem. EDIT: D/L the filefront file, installed your software of choice and the result. Looks like it's a issue with your system not the file..

THIS IS AWESOM, but just something, it you add relief mapping shader from CoZ to your terrain it would make it only greater , i think, but it is already VERY GOOD AND WELL DONE,

PS: The last pic does remind me of Halo a bit...

No shaders, they drag on te FPS too much, also CoZ's shaders don't work on static elements, and the segment one only works with dynamic lights - another FPS sapper...

i have to disagree that with you, i fully tested his shaders and there is not a singel drop in fps

Quote: "and the segment one only works with dynamic lights"

the terrain isnt a segment right?, and there are more segment "ones"...and not all need dynamic lights, it is fully explained on his thread,

@CG _ CoffeeGrunt, Cheers CG.
Yes that is right, I have run scenes with a char on the terrain, looked good, I will have to run a screen test and take a look.

@Red Eye, Thanks. And thanks for the shader tip. I have no current plans to test any at the moment. Also no it is not a segment. More soon.

@Dude232, Thanks for your comment. Yet no can do with the 2nd suggestion, it would counter react with itself in 2 ways I would say. Thanks for your insight though.

@All, As this game has been hush hush for some time now. And only very few know the core story behind the project. I will see what I can do to change that. A clip was my first goal. Yet I will see what I happens over the next following week.

Indiana, sorry I missed your post. Been offline while on pc and project dev, apart from checking mail and such.
To answer your Q, I can not give that info as it is a part of pheonix game protection program. Its a feature included.

At the present time, there is no media to be released.
Until then, I am happy to see this thread drop once more, until I return once more. Unless there is a specific Q someone may have.

Great!

Is that programme als omaking the loading times better?
Because they were really good!

And does it also make the file size smaller?

Thanks!

I liked you demo, it was a bit dark though. I fell more than a few times

No problem.

Phoenix does compile the final project data, so I was able to reduce the data size by half. Results may vary.
The original uncrypted version looked/ran faster during gameplay by a frame or 2 though.
However the loading times is not effected from my tests. This is done during pre-design.
Thanks for the comment.

Well...Maybe it's a good time to share some design hints & tips I tested over the past 2 years, as the blazor x project is well into production. I will try to do one every now and then, or as I remember them...

You really need to put some higher res images up, it's hard for people with resolutions past 1280x1024. Perhaps having your images at least 800x600.

Your progress is looking nice, but I do think you need more props in your seen. It's pretty basic, and there's not much to look at.
When I see sci-fi sort of games, they have a lot of props such as crates, pipes cables.
