@James H - One was a repeat. I got this off of the programs listed that I had installed. The physx version wasn't there.

I did install:
PhysX_9.09.0203_SystemSoftware

Here is all updated details:

What has been installed: (Uninstall programs under control panel to get list)
- AGEIA PhyX v2.5.0 (Comes with Dark Physics)

- Dark Physics Expansion Pack
- Dark Physics Expansion Pack - 1.0.1
- Dark Physics Projects

- Microsoft DirectX SDK (June 2008)
- Microsoft DirectX SDK (November 2008)

- Nvidia Cuda Toolkit
- Nvidia Drivers
- Nvidia Forceware Network Access Manager

- Nvidia Performance
- Nvidia PhysX
- Nvidia PhysX SDK 2.8.1
- Nvidia System Monitor
- Nvidia System Update

Others: (Doesn't show up on programs list)
- DBP v1.072
- Dark Physics v1.05

Motherboard: XFX nforce 790i
Graphics Card: XFX 9800 GTX Black Edition
Processor: 3.33 ghz dual core processor
Memory: DDR3 2 ghz

OS: Vista Ultimate 64-bit

I have PhysX on under the control panel. The old properties from: AGEIA PhyX v2.5.0 has changed to the physx portion of the control panel.

Hardware is on in the demo.

I still have the AGEIA logo icon in the system tray and can right-click on it and press properties to go to the physx portion of the nvidia control panel.

What happens is the barrels drop in software and hardware mode is on, but no fluids show up in the demo at all.

Hardware and software mode = no visible fluids. Can't tell if barrels are being affected.

This is a custom built computer and I don't think that has anything to do with it.

I can run any pre-compiled demo. I can't compile and run my own demo. I heard this may be due to the DBP update or PhysX update..don't know.

I have physx on in the nvidia control panel.

I know these are not or may not be the problems:
- Vista
- Graphics Card (May not be the most current drivers. Will update soon)
- Drivers (Installed all of them)

What I think it is:
- Dark Basic Professional Update 7.2 (Newest)
- Graphics Drivers (Only about a version less then the current. Will update soon)
- Graphics card properties such as force AA on or any other things forced on. (Instead of having the application decide. Will test when I get the time.)

Let me know if anyone has the DBP update 7.2 and the most current graphics driver. This will help me compare.

Thanks,

Dark Fire

Got it to work!

Here is what I did:
- Open Nvidia control panel
- Switch Anti-aliasing-Mode Off

Note: Nvidia default values cause conflicts.

Suggest creator of Dark Physics to find a way to shut off AA if fluids are being used. Would help eliminate confusion and help other people run fluid demos that end up buying your game.

Please sticky this information somewhere:
Nvidia's default values result in fluids not showing up. Have to turn Anti-aliasing-Mode Off under the Nvidia control panel.

Thanks everyone for their help.

I will post my demos on a new thread soon including fluids.

Thanks Again,

Dark Fire

for people who have trouble with fluids update to latest video drivers it includes latest physx drivers then update to latest dark physx then download the fluids demo from news letter http://www.thegamecreators.com/data/newsletter/newsletter_issue_69.html make sure the demo works. Then delete all temp files.
for xp users goto temp folder in windows and delete all the temp files
vista users it will be in C:\Users\your profile name \AppData\Local\Temp
then run the fluids demo in window mode then goto your temp folder there you should see something like dbpdata go in there and copy the dark physx file to you darkbasic licenced user plugins folder be sure to back up original just in case put all the physx files in there then it should work fine atleast it t=did for me i'm useing vista also works in xp and i'm useing dbpro 1.065.

@qwe - I don't know if this matters but I installed "AGEIA PhyX v2.5.0" which comes with Dark Physics first then installed PhysX 9.09.0203.

You can get it here:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/physx_9.09.0203_whql.html

You should also follow the list of things I have installed to make sure you have installed each one.

You have to install the latest DirectX, the latest PhysX, and the latest DBP version.

You must turn PhysX on under the Nvidia control panel!

If you follow the list of what I installed you should be able to get it to work.

Let me know if that helps!
