Hi all,

I'm interested in getting some feedback about my latest project 'Virtual BloKart' (a land yacht racing simulator).

Coded in DB1 with approx. 12 months development to date.

Any comments appreciated good, bad, indifferent!

Cheers,

Funky Frank

well i'll hope to see a demo of this out soon, but if it plays as well as it looks - then we should all be in for a treat

what kinda min specs are we talking about for this?
600Mhz - 16Mb TnT2 - 32Mb Ram - Dx7.1 ?

As a rough guide, the PC i'm using to code the project has an Athlon 1 GHz, with a Geforce 3 and 128Mb RAM.
At 800x600 i'm getting around 35/40 fps depending on whats going on.

well thats a pretty powerful system, atleast compared to the one i like to benchmark DB titles on.
start up a beta test, see whats the lowest system you can get it to run at around 30fps on the lowest graphics settings

should be aiming for around a 500Mhz - 8Mb TnT2 - 32Mb Ram
some speed up pointers are to allow lower resolutions, enable TnL if available, use less particles, add LOD models (if not already)

look promising, hope to playtest soon

It's looking good. Well rendered, nice environmental effects. I'm looking forward to a demo too.

This has "Fiasco" written all over it.

Thanks for the kind comments.
Will make an effort to test the game on as many PC's as possible. Seems you can never be sure about full compatibility.
