Woohoo! Way to go Matt. Oh, and about releasing Batvink...

...well, I tried to keep him in captivity while you were inaugurated, but he resisted...

...and, well, um, I happened to come across a knife...

...one thing lead to another, and he started getting out of hand...

...and, well, I'm not sure how to say this...

...he's dead.

Sorry man. I tried to take care of the problem without violence. But I failed. So I guess this means you can take his spot, right, and continue to be a mod?

lol, I'm flattered that you guys think I'd make a good mod, but in all seriousness I don't think TGC really needs more moderators right now. And to be honest (and sorry for the seriousness here), I'm not really sure how good I'd be at being a mod, I'd probably be far too lenient in most instances. And no one could replace Batvink, look at the newsletter he puts out, that takes a lot of time I couldn't afford, effort my attention span doesn't allow for, and skill I don't have, lol. I don't think he gets enough credit for the work he does!

Okay, back to silly!

More Executive Orders. I'm skipping executive order six... that's a secret executive order :

Order VII - From this day forth, May 10th will be an official holiday. Not because it's MISoft's birthday, but because it's a fictional holiday celebrated by my friends and some of my family, technically to celebrate birthdays for people born in winter months. It doesn't really have a name or anything, let's call it "Game Developer's Day." The purpose: Consume pizza and soft drinks and play TONS of video games all day, no working! If you know someone whose birthday falls between November 15th and March 15th, buy them a present if you want (yes, we really do observe that holiday, lol).

Order VIII - At some point during my Presidency (December 3rd 2008 to December 3rd 2009) I get to commission someone to write an offical TGC Forum Anthem (formerly yellow). Edit: And make a flag!

@ Alucard: Okay, I'll let you be Secretary of Internment. Kaedroho, I'll have to think about it

I volunteer for the position of Anthem Writer!
Trust me on this one, I'd be good at it. I could even record the Anthem in a professional recording studio. I could also design the flag. I'll even design a flag and Anthem NOT centered around lolcats, if you want.
Seriously, though. I'd like to write the Anthem.

I can't just go around ordering issuing 66 order on a whim, lol. Anyway, our whip cream stocks are far too low for that right now.

It should be me. You owe me! (For not killing you, naturally.) Dunno about the flag, but I bet I could make an anthem that would make God forget all about the queen.

Woohoo! Congrats to Matt on the (apparently) bloodless coup. (If you need anywhere to hide the corpses...) Plus I'm now a cabinet member, awesome.

An anthem sounds fantastic and silly - great idea

Oh no! Now I can't randomly delete and censor Matt's posts

I haven't seen CattleRustler in a long time so it's probably a good thing having a mod on that side of the continent anyways.

As far as the anthem and flag go, I'm not sure who'll get to do them. Make anthems and show them here, and if I see one I like I'll ordain it, or whatever you call it when the President makes it official, lol. As for the flag, I was thinking something simple, the Pyramid probably .

Quote: "Oh no! Now I can't randomly delete and censor Matt's posts "

lol have no fear, you can do that again after I relinquish my mod powers. After Dink disables IanM's laser, of course . Just don't delete or censor anything Presidential, lol

If my estimations are correct, CR's kid is just reaching the out-of-control age that my neice is at, heaven help him ! But I never really thought about that, I'm in a modless time zone. So I'd pretty much have to say yes if I were asked to stay on permanently, though I'd be the most lenient mod of all time most likely, lol. I don't think it's an option though, I'm only a mod until the coup is settled and we clean up Mike's army of Security Bots. They look surprisingly like Asimo, but with guns. In case anyone was wondering

Mod Edit: Well, I'm calling it a mod edit, let me have my fun lol. I forgot that Ron lives in PA, so we do still have a mod in this time zone. Also, Mike J (not Johnson, the other Mike J) is from Binghamton, the same city where I live, I forgot about him as well. It's scary that I forgot Mike J after just having talked to him via email recently, sorry abou that Mike J!

@Matt - Do you have full-on mod powers or are they restricted like the FPSC mods? I haven't seen you post in the mod forum so I'm wondering if you have any powers at all.

Congrats, Matt!!!

I voted for Deathead instead of you because.... well, I spend most of my time in the FPSC boards and didn't want to see anything happen to them, lol. (Aside from getting cleaned up)

Slick badge and title, btw.

As far as I can tell I have full mod powers, I'm not sure what full powers are though. I can move boards, rename subjects, edit posts, see IP addresses, and I'm not sure what set/ unset do for post/s or this thread because I don't want to play around with anything, hehe. I haven't even clicked on the mod forum, I don't think I'm supposed to (well, I'm not sure if it would matter but I don't want to throw the dice, hehe). And I can see the post approval and ban lists though I haven't opened either of them. So I have mod powers but I'm not actually a mod, that's probably a TGC first I'd imagine, lol.

I won't flex my mod muscles unless asked/ ordered to by the person who gave me these powers, unless the forums are overrun by rabid chipmunks on steroids with ad bots... even then I'd just email Jeku or Batvink and ask one of them to save the day . The person who gave me these powers asked me kindly not to use my mod powers, and thus, I shall not mod. Doing so would ruin any chances of becoming a mod in the future if the opportunity arose. For now though, don't think of me a a mod, think of me as the President

And the person you're referring to in that thread is none other than the MISoft Studios Audio Director and Lead Composer, lol. Or perhaps you knew that and were testing my loyalties . Have no fear though, I'll drop him a line over YIM and talk to him about it, but as a friend and the TGC President, not as a moderator .

Then why did he give you the mod powers? If he asked you not to use your mod powers I guess he could've given you the badge, without the mod powers.

That's why I created an lolcatz and Rick Roll tax guys. Every time you enforce the tax you're making $150 USD, so get cracking! .

I take it the person who gave me the power must have said something on the mod board, that or you guys are trying a ploy to make me admit it. Well, if you do know who helped me stage my coup, don't you think it would set the community ablaze if everyone found out? So with the integrity of the community in mind, I doubt anyone would go and spill the beans, it's a two-way street here.

A couple more orders...

Order IX - No moderator may edit or otherwise tamper with any Presidential comments unless they clearly and directly violate the AUP, or unless the President redacts their own comments. In other words after I relinquish powers, moderators who try another coup will be shot. Sorry guys, no more post-rigging elections or counteracting the votes of the people . And on that note...

Order X - Screenshots of future election threads (if there ever are any) will be made the moment such threads are posted and logged consistently throughout the election to prevent rogue moderators from trying to rig/ fix/ steal them. If someone wants to run, they should run

Order XI - When a member has joined within the past 30 days, you may not flame them when they ask a question, regardless of how obvious the question might seem or how "noobish" the person appears to be. Say something helpful or say nothing at all, or face a $200 USD fine.

There, that's most of my campaign promises delivered, and no abuses of power as Omega predicted. Though half of my orders involve protecting the presidency from mods, lol.

Well, the first US presidency was no doubt concerned with the possibility that there might be some people who didn't want there to *be* a US presidency.
I take it order XI is basically a "be nice, use your common sense". If we get a notorious spammer, the MODs can always noob-slap them, I guess.

Yeah, order XI is all about trying to do some good with the fictional title of President. As fun as this thread is, I really meant it earlier when I said the fake President should do all they can to apply some actual practicality to the role, even if they don't have any actual powers (other than temporary mod powers in the wake of coup, of course). In all honesty I think that's why so many people voted for me... my jokes weren't the funniest, my photoshop skills are non-existent, but I actually think the authority-less President should put in some effort, hehe. When people started saying I'd make a good moderator, it made me start taking the President thing a bit more seriously than I probably should, lol. I just gave Jeku a golden opportunity to make a joke .

About the first US Presidency: Only one third of the Colonists wanted a revolution. the other two thirds were either content under British rule or didn't care either way... sort of like this election . And with the semi-violent coup that happened the other day, and having an elected President overthrow a self-proclaimed one, it's sort of like TGC had it's own Independence War. The TGC Revolution, if you will . I guess that makes the moderators who participated in the election rigging the "Redcoats." But if anyone tries to put me in a flour-drenched wig there's going to be trouble, lol.

No, the greatest word ever is "Fluberru"

Quote: "Flu-ber-ru- noun. A general all-purpose word which can be used in place of any other word in any language."

For example:
"Go fluberru yourself! You're a fluberru-faced mother fluberru!"
I have just said "Go hug yourself! You're a two-faced mother arsonist!"

Aww, give Alucard his head back, he'll need it as Secretary of Internment lol. We can't have him waterboarding the feet of prisoners, that makes our prison camps more like a relaxing spa, and we don't have freedom in our budget for foot torture.

I have to say, and no offense to anyone else, but Deathead's flag is the best so far. It's like St. George is being chased by a Bladerunner, I dig it
