I need a program and I don't mind about money, but I need it to take an image and find text in it and be able to copy the text from the image.

well you could get something free like paint.net then use a select-by-color tool, then individually select the text letters and make sure you dont select anything else of the same color, then just hit copy, or cut, or whatever you want

dude if you really want a turkey sandwich, then make one, and make ham.sdaF?

I was thinking of that but, that's not exactly what I had in mind i don't mean copy text I mean literally copy the text like paste in MS Word and I know something like this must exist because I have seen a similar example where you give a program an image and it detects letters then finds the font.

How's that relevant to what Haven Studios is asking for?

Anyway, essentially what you want is an OCR application.

If you are looking for an app. MS Office comes with MS Document Imaging. http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/help/HA010347561033.aspx

I thought Acrobat Writer has OCR built-in? I have seen scanned textbook PDFs where you can select the text and copy it, which is pretty amazing actually.
