Hello, spreading the word.

Milk Paton's big 'return' in December as advertised previously on here has been cancelled.

This is *mainly* due to the extra work involved in converting the series to HD to future proof it. Also please note it is not a case of "Make Movie > HD", ALOT of it will have to be completely undone and redone, as it were. In addition, we can't release a SD version if it because it isn't finished!

Thanks for your continued patience everyone,
Have been working really hard to make the Christmas deadline but it just isn't going to happen.

Expect an announcement at Christmas.

Does that mean it's gone for good, or just delayed?

It's gone for good, never to return to the big screen. Ever. This is most saddening.

No, it just won't be out for perhaps another month or two.

I knew that. I was playing on the fact that some people seem to post their comments right after reading the thread title.

Ah right my bad man.

To be honest I'm the least happy person about this; I've been working on this for coming up to 3 years now. I was looking forward to smoking a cigar at new years and having it behind me. Never mind though.

Will we see a return of tutankhamon? Haha, that episode cracked me up. The spelling pain!

A shame it's being delayed, but it's definitely in the best interests of everyone to have a perfect and complete series of Paton.

You should sell DVDs.

MISoft Studios - Silver-Dawn Gorilda is lost!

You should know this is basically a reboot of Milk Paton, and yes both Tutankamoon and Spelling Inspector are present. I'm actually working on the Spelling Inspector scene right now which is spooky!

Agent Dink: We'll be able to sell it on Blu Ray too, when it's done.

It's just, he used "cancelled" instead of "delayed". I was just making sure.

Yes - I'll wait for as long as it takes. Take your time.

I might buy it (although DVD would be good too). Milk Paton is a bit of personal history for me.

Aww, that's a shame. Was looking forward to it.

As long as it comes out in the end though!

I introduced one of my friends to Milk Paton a few days ago by making him watch the first episode. He's now going through the rest himself.

You are not alone.

Knock knock?
Who's there?

The future.

It is good to future proof it.

Hey if your up to buying a 20 dollar disk, and probably make $0-10 profit, then go for it.

You're not familiar with the concept of future proofing, are you?

Maybe I don't understand what you're saying, but future proofing would be sticking with a format that is currently very well supported and will be supported for some time, rather than one that might not become so widespread.

You have little faith in HD? Frankly, DVD quality is fine by me, but some people need MOAR PIXLZ! So HD will stay for a while me thinks.

What?

I was talking about Blu Ray. I have a lot of faith in HD.

Not a morning person, are you?

Drew said in his original post "This is *mainly* due to the extra work involved in converting the series to HD to future proof it".

So that he will be able to sell it on Blu Ray if needed. Any HD compitable format is fine and dandy. Blu Ray was an example here.

I think future proofing means supporting the potential future, not present. My money is on Blu Ray but Grandma is right; it'll be useable on any HD format.
