Hi all.

I bought Left 4 Dead erlier. But when I downloaded it, my anti-virus suddenly prompt me that the game was an virus. It put it in quarantéen. However, I had to restore the game to play it. I use NOD32.

I bought it completely legally (no torrents or crack involved), and downloaded it from Steam. Is this anything to be concerned with? Or is it my anti-virus that is oversensetive or something?

Take care,
Mr Z.

EDIT:

I made a anti-virus scan of the entire Steam folder, but it found nothing... I did ran the game before I made the scan, though.

I downloaded it through Steam as well and AVG hasn't said a thing about it.

I'm thinking your AV is just paranoid out about it... maybe it ran a check for certain filename keywords?

It was the left4dead exe file that it complained about... thinking that myself, that it is paranoid. Just wanted to check, new laptop, do not want to have any more problems with it (had a few, but I solved them).

There is a topic about this on the official Left 4 Dead forums... http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=746794

Yah, NOD32 also thinks Fallout 3 is a virus. All you have to do is put Steam in the folders to avoid in the settings--- that's what I've done and everything works fine.
