Er yes, one of those 'weird' ones that most printers/scanners use. The 'normal' cable you refer to is used by smaller devices such as cameras.

If it makes you feel any better my HP printer didn't come with a USB cable either. Although I had a couple spare.

If you're going to stop buying a particular brand's products because it didn't come with a cable, you'd better avoid many other brands too.

Its most likely a mistake with the packaging. Just go back to the shop and just tell them your problem. They will most likely sort it for you there and then.

I once bought the Xbox 360 Wireless headset, which came with an American charger instead of a UK one. These things just happen.

Check the box again, I'm sure it will say "Don't forget your USB cable" or at the very least not include it in the "what's in the bo" list. None of the major printer companies bundle a USB cable with their printers, I had to buy one separately for my HP and Lexmark (a 5 dollar purchase each I might add).

I agree with Omega gamer 89,but problem is people on here don't really care until it effects them I noticed this when I made my thread about Ebuyer not delivering next day, which I paid for.

... I'm pretty sure that's not true. If it doesn't say they're included, they're not included. They're selling you the product and don't HAVE to tell you what isn't inside it. That would take an extremely long time.

There's a chance they don't include USB because it also may have other connectors as well, such as network, modem, or parallel port. They'd then have to include ALL the cables you'd need. Also, most likely they'd give you a crappy 4 foot cable that wouldn't reach far enough anyhow if they DID indeed include one.

If it makes you feel any better I work on a printer team in my IT department and I don't think any of our brand new HP laser printers come with USB, network, phone, or parallel cables either.

Locked. We can't allow threads with the sole intent to put down a company.

I suggest you go to your nearest 99p or $1 and buy a cable - practically every single printer I've bought at work, we're talking 30+, is not supplied with a USB cable.
