- THIS COMPETITION IS MORE FOR FUN OTHER THAN PRIZES BUT PRIZES ARE GIVEN TO THE WINNER -

Welcome Note

HI,

I am hosting a game competition. I got this game idea on another forum and I started it there. But now I'm expanding this to TGC forums. Following this welcome note I will include rules and suggestions , ETC.

Rules

(1) Do not make a game that is too much like another game or one another erson came up with. It should be your Idea! Or in the case you own a game production company your companys idea.
(2) If you are entering a game that is old then it must be created on or after Jan. 1 , 2008.
(3) Your game must be a game that anyone 10 and above can play (NO bad language and tons of blood)
(4) Your game must have a title (name).

Scoring

Games will be scored by 3 categorys.Gameplay , Creativity , and Addictiveness. Each category is worth 10 points. And each judge with give it a score 3-30. Gameplay is like a storyline or if your game doesn't have one its how long you can play it until the game ends. Creativity is the names of the characters. Or how good of quality the idea is. And if you have a diffrent Icon (not the Pyrimid that DarkBASIC pro has) that is worth 2 extra points. Unless you have a score os 10 or 9 then it doesn't count as extra points. And finaly Addictiveness this is how long the Judge(s) can play before they get bored of it. If they play it for more than two hours you should get a 7 at the least.

Prizes

The winner will get their game posted on Advertising16 front page and a link can be posted with it so you can sell your winning game for a good profit. Plus they get a FREE product gift card to Zab Productions so they can get any product of their choice for FREE no matter what the cost. (BE AWARE IT DOES NOT EXPIRE , BUT THE FIRST PRODUCT THAT WE WILL HAVE THAT WILL COST MONEY WILL BE SOME TIME IN JANUARY.)

How to join

You can post a reply with the following: The Game Title, Type of Game (RPG , Shooter , Action , ETC.) , Download Link , and we need to know your email. YOu can post it but If you don't want to post it then go to http://zabproductions.synthasite.com and click on message send and Include all of the game enrty imformation there.

Where will we know the scores of the games?

After a game is entered and all judges have scored it then it will be posted here: http://zabproductions.synthasite.com/gamec.php with the title and total score. The winner of the competition will be announced sometime in the beginning of January. The winner will be posted on the website of the link I gave above.

Questions?

Please don't pollute this thread with questions click on the e-mail button on my account or just e-mail [email protected] .

I can't wait to see your games!

Quote: "PRIZES ARE REWARDED"

What a novel concept. So, we submit prizes for the winners and we get rewarded for doing so. I've never seen a competition like that before, usually the prizes are put up by the host of the competition, who then awards them to the winner.

I was considering entering. The thought of winning a prize that doesn't yet exist is incredibly tempting, but I really don't think I could meet the requirements of rule 4. Writing a game is one thing but having to name it aswell - I think that is just way too difficult.

ah! i know just the game to enter!
I made it december 31st of 2007. it doesn't have a name yet, but it can pretty much be described as
"****t ***** of *** and the **** quebec **** nunn *** Mother****"
It's a giant world, all to scale, and in total i think it has about 4 tons of blood in it. But it doesn't really need a name anyways, it's pretty much like manhunt 2...

but im sorry, what were the rules again?

I'd join but... really? starting a commercial business using "synthasite.com"?

And then theres a "Game programmer" and a "Program programmer" on your website... whats a program programmer if a game already is a program?

I mean, if this competition goes on, or if there was some actual media on your site, even a list of people already involved with Zab productions, then i'd probably enter.

This is being locked for a number of reasons:

1. Offering prizes that don't exist.
2. We cannot authenticate your idendity as a legitimate "company" from your website
3. Reaction from the forums is cynical at the least, and this will only go downhill.
4. Better thought-out and organised competitions have been locked in the past for one or more of the above reasons.

The thread has not been deleted, so anyone interested can visit your site to enter - should you publish the details there.

Sorry if your intentions were honourable, but experience tells us that the majority of the competitions are used simply for personal gain in one form or another.
