GCSE ICT (Or in fact, any GCSE for that matter) is worth squat. An A* in ICT pretty much equates to a basic ability to read and write, there's barely any actual computing skill required (hence why GCSE is the lowest level 'common denominator' qualification)
I recall my GCSE exam having a question along the lines of "What are the potential security risks of storing data in RFID tags?". One of the options was "They may form an evil network and take over the world"
