I used the DB to converter a 3ds file into a .x file and I think it worked, 'cause apears a file.x that didn't exist before. But when I wrote on DB :

Load object "file.x", 1
Show object 1

Nothing happens. Only a blue screen appears and my object doesn't. But there's not any error message...
Why the object doens't appear ?
Please, help me...
Hevell.

erm... not entirely sure in the point in deathstars code - but try this

oftenly these are problems with the scale... especia;ly conversion wise.

failing that put it into a memblock and check over the data manually

I have no words to say how much I thank all you that are givin' me a hand with the DB. But unfortunely none sugestions worked. I still have a blue screen and my object doesn't appear. (This is for you Rave Vegeta : I'm a begginer DB programer, so I'm not good yet.I don't know how to put it into a memblock and check over the data manually.
But thanks anyway guys!

to place it within a memblocks is simple
here is Blivvy's Mesh DeBugger program to check out the object ->
http://members.lycos.co.uk/timesaga/darkbasic/memdebug.dba

exports a txt file to the same directory as the object use it to check over the object... i'd also attempt to load it within Deep(Exploration, sometimes and i'm unsure why exports don't export face data in Dx format - noticed this with Microsofts Converter, which as it was designed for D3D which uses the builtin LOD to create mesh isn't a problem, but in DB is

Hi, Raven Vegeta.
Now it's a case of honor to me.
Could you give me a e-mail yours , so I'll send my "file.x" and you'll see by yourself what's wrong with it?
Bye for now.

What kind of program I can use to create files with the 3ds extension or even x extension?
I have used staroffice and didn't work and also Milkshape and didn't work. The files are created but like always, the images doesn't appear on the screen. Please, is there a master of 3d graphics that can solve this impossible problem?
Anyway thank you all.
Dark Basic is that's all that, but if I don't solve this question, I won't proceed with my game maker career.

PS : What program language are used to make games like KOF and Resident Evil ? C, C++ or other one ?
Bye for now.
Nilo.

Resi Evil - Playstation,Playstation2 -- C++
GameCube -- C
N64, GameboyAdvanced -- Assembly

Odd how milkshape didn't work as its what most of us here prefer to use for DarkBasic (sometimes something nice'n'simple is much easier than something like Maya )

Try Gmax, only exports MD3 "officially" right now - but some resilliant peeps have found Chris Cooksons site

N64, GameboyAdvanced -- Assembly

I hate Assembly

I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.
