I have a question about the design of my website. I need your guys' opinion on something.

The text link menu on the left of the webpage makes it look a little unfinished and unprofessional. What type of menu should go there?

actually, i think it's fine the way it is. since u changed the link colors, it doesnt look like a website that was slapped together or anything. but if you really want images, i would say some sort of blue-steel to match your color scheme.

Thanks for the tip. I think the images might look a little more polished. I'll have to mess around with my offline version of it and see if I can make something that looks good.

i think centering the link text and adding "Shiny" borders would look cool. shiny meaning, like the arrows on your sig, but, yknow, a border.

The sidebar is a little redundant with the top bar, no? I know a lot of sites do this, but if you don't think it looks right, then remove it. You could replace it with google ads, or affiliate banners or something if you need something to fill the space.

I personally think it looks alright the way it is though.

edit: my bad, you do have affiliates there already.

The design looks just fine, I did have a small problem with the main content of the website being off-center. This might be because I'm running Safari though.

I just noticed that today as well. I have to take out a line from the PHP call for that "Welcome, Guest" line. It doesn't look like it would be too hard to find...

I had the problem of it being off-center as well, and I'm running Firefox on Windows XP. Other than that, the site looks great!

I fixed that. I took out that line completely and now it works. I also changed the Who's Online thing to where it now tracks every one on the main site and not just the forums.

Your website looks good, judging from the screenshot and my imagination. Personally I don't like websites that are dark. Also I hate it when people can see me as online. It kind of removes the anonymity of the anonymous internet.

Well, in a community, especially one like Gunn3r Games, where comradery is more of a theme than anonymity, it's helpful to know who's online. And thanks for the kind words.

I personally have been taught that centered text for large portions of text is a big no-no for readability. Justifying the text will look cleaner and guide the eye better. Besides that, it's pretty good for its purposes as far as I can see.

Thanks for the tip, tha_rami. I'll mess around with the justification and see if I can make it a little more presentable.
