I have 6 pics, i think it looks awesome.
its a mp map based on a movie.

Its partly based on a scary/weird movie i watched last week about a group of loving people and each person started getting infected and became zombie things...

the infected ones and human ones couldn't be told apart...they would act normally until after a period of time they tranform into them and try to kill the rest of humans.... the movie is called "The Thing", i kinda twisted the story a small amount

it was based in a small camp out in the north where it freezes of ice and snow,
in this game its free for all and everyone is infected

its in development

edit: lol just found the dit button, a question from the screens and possibly a video soon..do any of you think this could make any money at all? and a possible price number?

[b]i'm giving out a free beta version to test it... need a volenteer, only one person will get it and two friends in reality will too.

if interested please reply on this thread and i will giv it to password protected and you are not permitted to giv it to friends or other people...if so i obviously will be mad and never let you beta test again

"The Thing" is one of the best horror films ever made!! Every time I watch it, it takes me longer to get to sleep afterward.

If you can create the same atmosphere as in the film, you are worthy of a BOTB award!

thx eagle but i did say this is like quite a differeny layout to the films however the same wheather, scenery and the houses look same inside but not outside

I Would really love some help on what to include... from anyone

this is my 2nd MP game and i think its impressive for my 2nd and with the pics looking awesome.

its being updated daily i would love some tips

...since you are paying homage to a very well known horror classic, I would suggest including static representations of key images from the film: the Snow Cat; the Norwegian Excavation Site; the Charred Alien Remains; detailed interiors of the U.S. Artic Station, etc.

The more that you can bring the movie to life, the better.

I would incorporate at least one or two custom Transformation Models, to be used by one or more of the players of this MP game.

Great concept. The screenshots look very promising to this point. I wish you the best of luck. If you find yourself too limited by MP functions, I strongly suggest that you consider bringing this to life as a single player game title...

i've just started the underground research basement from the film near da end where they got to blow it up

attached a pic of what it looks like so far...but it definatly needs improving...the door on da left is the lift entrence

So far I really like the beginning screens and screen the last screen. O, and a BOTB is a best of the best; its only given to the best games made in fpsc. So far idk if there's any x10 (maybe froggy shootout?) but anyway make is good and anythings possible. Good luck

LOL this is my 2nd game lol im new at it.
my 1st was a peice of rubbish on mars for some mp fun to know the uses of fpsc x10

3-5 more screens coming in 5 mins of the evalator taking u from screen 6 - 10...there is an evalator that takes you to the research chmaber basement and i am gunna take a pic of the avalator cos it looks like two dif games without it

Very few people here have X10, never mind the computer power to run it.

yes i didn't think of it that way.
i just finished building the final beta...has some modern day guns from pack 6 and it matches story

copy/pase them into fpsc x10 dir/
pack 4 does not work on x10 - da one with 21 charictors and including zombies

pack 6 does work on x10 - modern day guns
pack 13 does work on x10 - village buildings
pack 17 does work on x10 - egyption charictors
now testing pack 5 - horror kinda thing segs

Uploading Beta now

-its going to be in 7z. format , winzip winrar or 7-zip can openit then extract it.

i reccommend 7-zip cos its in fact 2.9% better compression rate than any other read off site...better than winrar or winzip or tkzip, its free, its simple, its at www.7-zip.com

i got a trojan virus installing winrar 2 times!
mcafee security center is the best virus removal software in the biz so far and that out of about 5 virus detecters actually worked
and my comp fixed...i reccommend the stinger software for free by mcafee,
although i got full mcafee authority cos i baught full
version...but stinger is free and will help

This is the mp version and the SP version wont be released for a few weeks and possibly a few months.

the sp will have another person involved making it and a bit more experiance when we finish it.

the mp beta is Blue-Crowd's First Official MP Game.

good news, im working on the SP version and will be called "the altimate" based on "the thing" but story is twisted a small amonut and a little different scenes that will keep you exited.

the mp beta is level 3 from sp...exept it has been built slightly bigger and a little of a remake.

im working on level 4 and then i will be finishing details on all maps and test them.

i will make level 5 the final level with awesome scenes.
theres gunna be a bit of a snow war in there
