Quote: "That's in X9 you say? It has the perfect Doom look to it. Nice job."
Yeah thats X9 and thanks for your comparison with Doom.
Quote: "What shader did you use?"
Its a modified relief shader.
Quote: "I like the bloom alot now, by the way. It's better if it's subtle, more realistic..."
Thanks for pointing out there was room for improvement.
Quote: "That pretty as hell brother man... nice work."
Nice of you to say so brother.
Quote: "wow, i thought the x9 one was from x10! great work!"
I really like the fact you can cross develop for X9 and X10 with FPSC using the same map files. X9 and X10 work just fine side by side in Vista by the way contrary to some things I've read.
Quote: "wow its like you redid theyre texture oh and if you want a doom atmosphere less light in the real thing but other than that you nailed it"
Yeah I think your right. Next on the list is flashlight so I'll be doing plenty of ambient lighting tests with that.
Quote: "If I were you, just an idea, I would improve everything about it, and make it a seperate game unlike Doom3, because I think you could make a really impressive horror game."
Well this is only a tech demo based on Doom 3 to give me something to aim for. Afterwards I intend to make an original game demo that can be distributed.
Quote: "By the way, could you please tell me were you got some of these amazing X9 graphic effects effects (ex. bloom, shaders, and other special effects)"
The bloom is a dx9 .dll patch which I believe was an upgrade for a commercial FPSC game Anderson & the Legacy of Cthulhu. The shaders are modified versions of bump, specular and relief I'm working on using Dark Shader.
Quote: "Did you make those textures yourself, they are cool! I like the blood on the imps' chests."
Errr no (except normal and specular maps) but this is only a tech demo, not being developed as an actual game.
Thanks again for the feedback all.
