I hate to break it to you, but Hungry Jack's looks like Burger King's twin brother.

BennyBoy & Wikipedia say that Hungry Jack's is an Australian franchise of BK. Looks like you overlooked that one.

Yeah, they're both the same, they had to change the name to avoid copyright issues.

This is the same as the time I had an argument with a guy that NASA should be shut down because some people in Africa have AIDS.

Seriously, why don't you go out and give all your money to charity?

Why don't they just scrap that new James Bond film that they're working on and give $180,000,000 to charity?

McDonalds run a business. They spent money on making an advertisement so they can make more money BACK. Yeah, they could've given the money to starving people. If they kept that up they wouldn't be in business very long. Come on, you can't be serious can you?

There is no point in buying junk food anymore, its just so expensive. Its far cheaper for me to goto the pub or restaraunt and have a nice homemade burger than to buy a BK whopper meal. I don't see how these fast food places are still around.

I've never liked junk food, well unless you class sushi junk food.

Interesting, I generally save half as much buying junk food here. And... I love junk food lol.

Yeah me to. I can get a pop, cheesburger, fries for like 2.00 or somewhere around there. If I go to a bar its 2.00 just for the pop

If you're willing to eat a McDonalds or Burger King, then it's cheaper than a pub. But with British takeaways or even Chinese take aways, sometimes pub food can be cheaper and nicer. On the route to my Uni there is a pub that does burgers for about the same price as a takeaway and they do a curry deal (a curry + drink for £4)

Cheap American takeaways I find don't fill you up so much, so you end up buying and eating more later. Though I do sometimes go to them.

Oh and $2 (or approx £1) would just get you a basic burger in McDonalds. (here at least)

Food prices are going up a lot, at least in the last year. Apparently the excuse was fuel prices, well they've gone down a lot, and so has VAT, yet food is still more expensive.

Last time I checked a basic whopper meal was £4.80 and a big mac meal was about £4.30. A whopper that fills me up is about £6.50 all together and at macdonalds its £8.00. I can get a pub burger with cheese, salad, onion rings, a nice portion of chips as well as a pint of certain drinks (coke and other fizzy drinks or strongbow, carlsberg etc) for £4.00. Another does burgers, chips and drinks for £8.00 but its buy one get one free.
