Apologies if this is against the AUP, feel free to remove if it is..

I've just finished a website:
http://www.ishoot.net
Basically, you submit your website to the database, then every night at midnight GMT it'll pick one of the websites, and 'feature' it on the website. It'll also send you an email if you get featured to let you know, so you don't have to keep on checking back every day. The idea is that it will give you a little boost in traffic, for free
And, you can submit your website as many times as you like, which will obviously increase your chances of getting your website 'featured'.

So, please go ahead and submit all your websites!

Hopefully there aren't any bugs - I've added a lot of security to the form and how it processes it but if you find anything, please let me know!

Thanks
Robin

www.turbodog.co.uk

and

www.blitzwerks.co.uk

As you can see, they need more traffic (especially the top one)

Carry on adding websites (As many times as you like!) It's starting to get a steady flow of traffic now.

@bergice: Yep, feel free to add any websites you like - The only time I think there might be a problem is if your website forces the frames to close (as some automatiucally do), then I might remove it from the database. But otherwise, go ahead!

@Roxas: Did you submit it or did you want me to? I'll add it either way myself, it'll only increase your chances of getting 'featured'

Does this only work if it has a WWW prefix?

I entered www.blackdracogames.com into the header on your site. Although I have a steady bit of traffic, more traffic can't hurt.

Oh the draw happens at midnight GMT every night (in 5 and a half hours time), and then the website will change. So any site which gets picked will stay up for a full day.

It doesn't work for me, I put http://allazeya.zxq.net for the website, [email protected] for the email addy, and I put in that stupid IQ test code thingy, and it says that there's an error with my details...5 times...

Ah...sorry yeah realised you do need a www. address actually - I've added yours to the database manually for now, I'll change the form processing thing so it doesn't need the www bit. Thanks for pointing that out

Edit: modified it now, will accept website without the www. bit. Feel free to enter as many times as you like!

Am I missing something?

Why would I go to iShoot.net to get to a random site?

lol, yep, that's exactly what I'm trying to think about - at the moment the traffic is purely from people submitting their websites. Which is ok, as it'll boost your traffic numbers, however unless your website is interesting to look at, most people won't actually pay it too much attention..As I said I'm just trying out the concept really (In the long run there is another website which is a similar concept but on a different theme, which I am aiming to create). One way I aim to keep the traffic going is to remove websites from the database if they have been in for a month, send an email to the owner, and let him/her know it's been removed and that they can go back to the website and re-submit their website again. Again, traffic is just from people submitting websites, but if you make your website attention grabbing enough, I reckon you could also get some genuine interest from these visitors.

Coffee_grunts website got chosen today (which is surprising as there's a few websites which people have submitted many many times over which I thought would get chosen lol)

Yah I'm missing the point too, sorry. There are many sites where you can add your site to a giant list. What separates your site from the millions of others just like it?
