I think it mainly effects internet cafes which have been using this sort of thing for years

This will not affect you. If Microsoft ever implemented this on an end user's personal computer, everybody would switch to linux anyway

It's likely this is something to do with internet cafe's or shared computing that microsoft might implement sometime in the future. Or they may not, companies file patents for stuff all the time, and most of them never get used.
