Basicly, We have 4 computers in the house all networked to the hub, Mine and my dads and my sis's are networked directly to the hub. My brothers is connected to my sis's, And ive set up a bridge connection on my sis's computer. Basicly, Every time i download something big at high speed (usualy 800KB/s), the internet connection for all the other computers just shut off.

Has anyone else had this problem with bt home hub? Is it generaly a bad router? What alternitives would you surgest (Cant spend more than £30 and should have 5 lan ports).

Thanks.

That's just how it works. If you don't want that to happen, throttle your downloads if you can, or use QoS, if it's offered on your router.

Thanks. So it does this with any router? I mean, If i stop the download, Its still dissconnected. The only way i can get the other computer reconnected, Is by resetting the hub.

Just keep in mind, when you buy a new router, get one with QoS, so everyone can share nicely
