Nintendo8.com
Check it out its pretty nifty, no more emulators for those or getting console off closet, have visited this site more than enough when bored =)
Im not pretty sure, but its java based and do not know if the games are being emulated or if they are reverse engineered.

E: It seems they are emulated.

Also those who are worried about legal issues,

I dint notice any lag, i think? Could be because im using open source java plugin from ubuntu repos. Its faster than the closed source for me atleast.

Yeah, it is a pretty nifty website. But I would rather own a physical copy of the game. But you can try the games out before you buy them.

They also got some of the best ones like Mario 3, Contra, and others.

Random Note: I own all the NES games I play through the emulator (Except for hacks of SMB, but I do own SMB). I also have a old NES console. The problem is neither the games, or the console, work well anymore. Hence why I use emulation. IMO using an offline version is always better than an online version (In terms of NES ROMs).

But that site is a nice find, I haven't had a look at it just yet, but I probably will in the near future.

Cheers,

Complete BS:

Quote: "They also got some of the best ones like Mario 3, Contra, and others."

They still sell SMB1, SMB2, SMB3, and a bunch of other games on this site on the Wii Virtual Console. This is clearly not legal.

While playing the games online may or may not be legal, I am not a lawyer and I know TGC would not want to support linking to such a gray site in the first place. Sorry!
