I was following the” who likes cats question” closely.

http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&b=2&t=144175&p=0

At the moment I am making an application/game, I am thinking of selling which features a psychic cat. Although I had not started the thread, I was finding it useful to gauge people’s feelings towards cats. This would allow me to estimate the percentage of potential clients, who would not buy a product because of the cat.

Results : Who likes cats ?
Yes 32 : No 9 : Don`t know 4

These results are only approximate as many posts were open to interpretation and funny.

Conclusion
I will go ahead with my project as is, but will try and make an option for customers, for a slightly higher price, to have their product personalised with their own pet. Though I’m not sure many people think their gerbil is psychic.

I was disappointed the thread was locked as it was clearly popular. I understand that locking threads is at the discretion of the moderator, but wish more time was given to answer his question “what is the purpose of this thread?” before it was locked. The more data you get the more accurate your results.

Thanks to Haven Studios for posting a very relevent question.

That got locked due to being a waste of time and space, i'm pretty sure this falls under the same category.

What are you talking about?!
This is a dev forum, and this section being the more laid back and less strict part of it. If he had a survey from a community that helps him create some sort of project, how does that have no point?!

If this is a waste of time, some one needs to explain to me what the purpose of the "Geek CULTURE" thread is...

PGDO. it consumes my every waking moment, that is not already being eaten by work / school / sleeping

Goofball has a point there, but still, it might appear strict, but that's to keep these "games" (debatable what kind of threads fall into that category) from occupying the first page and knocking other threads down too much. I think it's a good thing to keep those threads at a reasonable quantity.

I concur!
But with myself...

What i was saying is that this thread merely serves no purpose other than for him to tell us he is continuing with his game, i'll wait for the WIP...
