Does anyone know the max amount of ram OSX Leopard supports?
also is there a 32 and 64bit version
or is there just a 64bit version with 32 bit support

I've seen people with 32GB of RAM running OSX so I'm guessing that's the max amount, not sure though.
And I believe the OS is both 32-bit and 64-bit. Not sure about that though.

Yeah, from what iv'e found so far I think that max is 32GB. And the OS is 64bit but can run 32bit applications.

It's just hard trying to find any info about it. Every site I visit is too busy telling me how cool I will look if i own one rather than give me the specs. Even apple's site.

Think it is "only" 64-bit, no 32-bit edition.

Yeah, there's only one edition of the OS: But it's kind of odd, some parts of it are natively 64 bit (e.g. the kernel and low level stuff) whilst a lot of the actual OS components are 32 bit

I *think* Mac OS/X 32-bit will support 8GB

Just found on Apple's website, the latest macbook pro's support up to 8GB, I'm assuming this is a 64-bit OS.

Mac Pro desktop says it'll support up to 32GB of DDR2/800
