They're OK. One thing you should consider is that the shine on them is high-contrast compared to the rest. Because of this reading text on the buttons may be distracting.
Also, throwing a shine on a button indicates that it is 3d in a way - so doing nothing at all to the edges (a really soft bevel or something would suffice) makes it look odd in a sense. Also, the lack of other lighting or shine effects makes the cutout-shine look a bit tacky.
