Now its very odd for me to start a thread relating to Spore where all the other ones died out 2 months ago, but I mainly created this thread for a reason.
Spores Technical issues are shocking. I know some people may have it flawlessly running without hassle on their PC, but not for me.
I've had Spore since Christmas, and when I first installed it ran perfectly. I was even surprised it could run on my uber-obsolete computer, let alone run really well.
Around two days ago, I got to the Space Stage, saved then quit because I had to go out. When I returned and loaded up Spore, the following error would appear whenever I tried to load a game.
"The memory cannot be read Sporeapp.exe"
Thus, I reinstalled Spore.
Freezes, Crashes to desktop, DirectX error? Even a clean reinstall didn't solve the problem. EA also decided to insult my intelligence by asking me to check my PC to see if it was compatible with Spore. Uh... Newsflash? Why ask me to check compatibility when it ran perfectly in the first place?!
Asides from that, their advice for me to update my GFX Card was useless as it made the game worse. Now it freezes every 15 seconds!

Going to patch it, but im sure that wont work...

That's normally indicative of a problem your end rather than the game (since it's quite hard to cause that in a user mode executable unless you're doing something extremely odd)

Well it's pretty difficult to make a game compatible with every make and configuration of PC out there. You said so yourself that your PC is "uber-obsolete".

EDIT:

If you have a friend with Spore, bring your save over to his place and try to load it up. Or, just start a brand new game

UPDATE: Ok, after a failing Graphics Card having to be replaced with a new one and having to retten my pc, Spore works again.
