Quakelive.com

Very nicely done, especially for a browser game. One problem I have with it is the frequent crashes, but it is Beta after all so that s to be forgiven.

I really think this is a graphical achievement for a browser game, no lag, for me anyways. The interface is also very nice. Sign up is free and easy.

-Cheers, tell me your info and we'll battle.

Last time I played the browser support was extremely poor, and controls also were quite touchy to actually get reasonable results with.

I've never believed in in-browser games, ones with browsers built-in sure; but for some reason in-browser stuff always has been touchy and poorly developed.

Quite ironic that a thread about Quake should pop up today; passed around the Mac demo of Quake III today at lunchtime and started mapping out my college for a serious deathmatch.

It's a brilliant game.

But in a browser? Eww...

Well don't judge it before you try it. It's awesome and the controls are just as good as Q3

It's a Beta, that's probably coming. I'm sure they just wanted to look at the big picture first.
