The demo is a beta version. Wait a final version. In it you can select 16 or 32 bits and some effects run more fast.

Very very nice demo indeed! You have to check this out if you haven't already.

IceVAN - we can host the zip files on our file server if you like? Might stop Geocities closing the site down! I've emailed you about this.

Cheers,

Rich

Not that I won't download it when I have time, but any chance of a screenie(s). It'll give us something to look at while we wait.

Download it from the following URL (stable! will not vanish like Geoshities!) it's 9.3 meg in size and the best DBPro tech demo yet. Congrats to IceVAN and his team.

its... interesting atleast...
ends pretty abrutly though and definately not for systems slower than 1ghz w/a pretty decent 3D Card.

it was very hard to see what was going on at times, probably doesn't help i have a headache.
as i said, interesting ...

Just saw the final one, heres my judging:

On My Computer
Specs:
1.3 Ghrz Celeron Processor
512 MB RAM
4 MB Intel Graphics Video Card

Ran smooth at times, and jerky at others, and considering my Video Card doesnt support 32 bit, the graphics were horrible at points.

My Moms Computer:
Specs:
1.8 Ghrz Pentium 4 Processor
512 MB Ram
32 MB nVidia (not sure if thats its correct name or not)

Ran smoothly, but had its jerky points. I'm pretty sure there was a graphical error halfway through the demo, not sure if it should have random splotches of red at different points of the screen. My moms video card supports 32 bit, and the graphics were amazing. My mom loved seeing what DBPro could do, yet she thought it was boring at times.

My Younger Brothers Computer
Specs:
2.4 Pentium 4 Processor
256 MB Ram
64 MB Intel Graphics Video Card

Not tested, my brother was sleeping during testing, so I couldnt log on to his computer. I'm sure the tech demo would look awesome on his computer, considering its the strongest one in the household, but, I couldnt test it (as mentioned above)

All Computers:
Loved the music!

Scores:Graphics: 8/10 (Great visual effects)
Sound: 8/10 (awesome music, sounds like the opening of MGS2: Sons of Liberty)
Playability: 5/10 (couldnt stand the 16 bit versionK)
Fun Factor: 9/10 (great to see what DBPro could really do)
Overall: 7.5 (Great demo, now I cant wait till I get DBPro!)

Graphics: 8/10
Sound: 10/10
Playability:8/10 (I ran on a 1.7 ghz 8500 radeon 512 ddr ram)
Fun Factor: 8/10 (very interesting )
Overall: 10/10 I give it a ten because it was very creative, interesting, showed off DBP, and I loved the music.

Excellent work ICEvan and team.

Thanks for your test and your evaluation.
I am happy that you have liked.

I believe that the graphic error to which you refer is an effect called distortion mosaic. In some cases it can seem that it is an error but it is this way.

Thanks for everything!!
Greetings

Well, I tried it on my little bros computer, heres how it ran:
It ran very smoothly, no slowdown or anything, didnt even have that distortion error. It looked great in 32bit, and I'd say it does bring out what DBPro can do!

Hi Ermes!
I'm Spanish and yes, my English is bad. jejeje
I also believe that I am here only Spanish.
The demo this totally made in DarkBasic. The darkbasic pro is really very potent. With this version wonderful things can be made using some genius.
