This thread is really cool A lot of good looking stuff in here, keep posting it guys!

Here's another two I did for uni today. The assignment is due tomorrow, with a presentation thingy. All nighters are cool

First is a beast called a Gardoop - You harvest the pods above its head.

And the second is of a Dragon - Keeper of the gate to the next area.

Thanks for the comments guys. I use photoshop for all my images. I just had the old 36 hour sleepless assignment binge. Painful. Now I have another to do, so more images will come of it!

Here is another image I did for the game concept...It's a vision that haunts your dreams, but you have no recollection of. This one was done really quickly haha, I had 4 hours to make a game trailer. This image took about 30 minutes.

Cheers,
Zac

Greenlig you have some very nice stuff. Love that sort of over saturated/Bloom look you've got going on.
Better post some of my own stuff just for the sake of it, the first image I made out of something similar I saw on some site and then just expanded it a lot with stuff, quite fun.

Hey guys, loving the stuff that's been posted here. Good to see so many people drawing!

I just completed my first portrait in a LONG time. Last time I attempted one, I only had a mouse, and the year was 2005. This time, I have a little more skill...and technology

So here she is...off in a little world of her own.

These were for a WWII shooter.

The American flag.

The Nazi flag.

Both are done from scratch in PSP... Nnnnnnnine I wanna say? No, wait, these are done in Paint.net. Free, effective, and easy to use!

I don't have any really recent 2D work to show, but here is some stuff from a few years ago:

Greenlig, your stuff is amazing! Not only is nice to look at, but your drawings are really clever!

I told myself I would draw more this summer. Nope :/

Love the new work on here guys. Looking very cool. Graphiboc, I love the eagle!

@ Sid & Phaelax - Thanks for the props dudes. I am doing a Computer Game Design degree, so we get a lot of drawing practice. Besides that, I do love drawing

I do use a tablet, but it is an old, crappy Graphire 4. Nothing like the sweet slickness of an Intuos 4...which I crave Still, it does a good job!

This is a 15 minute piece I did to test a piece of software called Alchemy. It is meant to help with the creative process, and I found it very useful and fun.

Image 1 - The creative piece made in Alchemy. Just messed around till I saw something come out of it.

Image 2 - The finished product.

@greenlig:

I love your style. I'm thinking I should start developing my own more... I wouldn't really know how to describe it right now.

Well I dug around my pile of renders and found this:

Confusedly, the Baby Iguanabird Ponders the Possible Reasons for its Existence By the Water's Edge

I did this a while ago. I should redo certain parts of it, first ditching that awful rock texture and then making the water look like... water.

Well hopefully, I'll be able to post a few more of my renders up here.

Alchemy is quite fun to use, Alot of people on Polycount use it for chracter marquees.

Some of my lastest work in Digi, I prefer still prefer tradtional, and our art classes havnt the resources to move into digital aswell, so we specilize in all tradionals techniques to make up for it.

I got lost in the stock room again, like a frigga maze lol.

Here they are, I used a different stlye in each,

Clearyellowrain's character

My character, Turan,

## Shineria's Character ##

They could be better, but thier the best ive done in digi atm, Only started a month ago lol. ^_^

@ greenlig, you work is amazing, Do you have a D.Art account?

VERY nice, aerostudios, and the subject matter is appreciated (except for elvis, but since it was for you mother, i'll forgive! )

now that you've returned to "mortal" status in the drawing department, i see you've focused on (and been very successful with) the ATCSims. Impressive! (btw, was that written in DB/DBPRO?!)

AND, you can sing? sheesh!

thanks for sharing

Thanks Virtual Nomad! At least it isn't a Velvet Elvis! LOL

Sorry to say, I did not know about DBPro when I started creating ATCsimulator. I wish I had, since Visual Basic 6.0 Pro has been trashed by Microsoft. I have no interest in OOP (.NET). I'm a straight forward procedural kind of programmer. But, I have decided if I have to rewrite it, DBPro would be my first choice. There are some things I was not able to do correctly with VB that I now know would be easily accomplished with DBPro.

In a previous life, I was a professional musician/entertainer. As far as singing, that was not really what I wanted to do, I wanted to play guitar. But, I ran out of things to do, so started singing.

Hey, in this day and age, you gotta have all the options you can. I may have to take that cruise gig someday after all! LOL I could be the IT guy on the ship, singing in the lounge at night, drawing caricatures for $20 bucks a head during the day! Never a dull moment! HA HA

@ aerostudios

Your work is truly amazing, a shame time didnt leave you untouched.

You remind me of the first artist i followed on deviant art.

http://zenithomishu.deviantart.com/

Iam sure your grandchildren will adore your work.

////

Woo 36hours spent in art this week.

I havnt got any of my college work handy so ill post from my scrap book. These skecths took less than 20min each since i did them before next lesson started.

I like speed challenges, its fun that way. I referenced these the night before, and had to remember as much of it as i could. I have a terrible memory so am working on getting it better lol.

I used Derwent Inktense for these, and a black thickliner #crys# i ran outa ink for my fineliner. £4 each so i order them from Ypo through the school and got 12 for £10 lol.

Yeah thier all from bleach, a friend adores this stuff and she can be very pursuasive when shes holding a staple gun

Thought I'd try a different style than I'm used to(a lot of lines with color, instead of implying the lines). I'm half pleased and half undecided on this one. Definitely a style I may pursue.

It has been ages since I drew anything, but tonight I just got inspired. Was talking to my dad on the phone, and it just jumped into my head. The weather has been amazingly hot here over the last few days...so maybe that is it. This took 1.5 hours to do.

Thanks for looking

Cheers BMac. I realised as I was drawing it that I just love making little dudes go on journeys hehe. A lot of my work involves some character walking in a wasteland of sorts, with the viewer asking, "Now where is he off to". It's a lot of fun, and resonates somewhere deep inside me. Calming stuff to draw.
