Please note that the privacy policy has been changed to reflect the fact that Google will soon be offering interest-based ads to this site. You can view the change here under the heading "Advertising".

I'm thinking if it uses your cookies to place more relevant ads, this place is going to be filled with filthy images on the majority of peoples pages.

I'll finish them whenever i can be bothered.

I kind of like the adbots we have now - once, we were talking about death or some such and the adbot popped up advertising funerals

I agree! Adbot is like the weird cousin at a family reunion.

Opting out:
http://www.dubfire.net/opt-out/ - Use this instead of the google plug-in opt-out as it covers that and so many more
http://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp
http://www.privacychoice.net/

... and equip yourself with AdBlock+ and Noscript.
Unfortunately, you'll need to do ALL of the above to opt out on every PC you use ... some opt-out, huh?

Ye, I think TGC could make a lot more money by dropping google adsense since it poorly targets, or when it is on, it's for a competing product.

What they should be doing is selling advertising space personally, and using the space to advertise their own products, and other products through select affiliate channels.

I agree there should be more TGC ads and less google ads.
I'm often unaware of new TGC software until someone mentions it on the forums. I never even look at the rest of the site anymore just the forums.

can't read?
